Story
Thomas is a beautiful senior Persian with the sweetest soul and the softest fur. His life hasn’t been easy, but he has never given up. This brave boy was hit by a car and miraculously survived. While recovering, veterinarians also discovered a mass in his mouth that required surgery, and like the fighter he is, Thomas pulled through. Now fully recovered and ready to start the next chapter of his life, Thomas is looking for a quiet, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by warmth and kindness. Thomas adores soft beds, gentle pets, and calm company. He’s  grateful for every moment of comfort and love. After everything he’s endured, he deserves nothing less than a forever home that will cherish him as much as he deserves. If you believe in second chances and want to open your heart to a truly special cat, Thomas is waiting for you. Please fill out and submit an adoption application today. Story
We've had Ruby since she was a kitten. She was a stray and came with her sister, and joined our Labrador. She's a sweet little girl who loves people, other cats, and dogs. She's cool chillin at home but will also go outside and tour the neighborhood, looking for friendly people and other pets. She loves her little cat bed but also loves sleeping in the bed with whoever will have her. She really loved our old dog (we think she thought he was her parent) and followed him everywhere, but now he and her sister are gone. We recently got a puppy and because the puppy chases her everywhere, she's stressed out and her quality of life isn't great at the moment. The only difficulty with Ruby is that she will pee on clothes, towels or bags that are left on the floor, so she needs a neat owner. She is litter box trained and never has a problem there, and she often goes to the bathroom outside, esp in warmer weather. Ruby will thrive in a home with a person or family that can give her lots of love.

Story
Profile and Pics: Meet Alfred, our wonderful, resilient street survivor, ready for his forever home! Our big, beautiful boy, Alfred, came to us from one of our feeding stations about a year ago. He seemed to be an old, stiff street cat worn down by life outdoors, and with winter setting in, we brought him inside. But when our vet examined him, we learned he was much younger than he looked; it was only his injured, shattered paw and gimpy hip damaged in some unknown trauma that made Alfred seem so ancient. One year later, Alfred has absolutely blossomed in foster care. This 4-year-old boy has healed well enough to be a happy and mellow purring machine craving attention and companionship. Pat the couch next to you; he’ll be by your side in a flash. Hold up a brush, and he’ll take the lead, rubbing his chin against it, almost grooming himself! Like many former tomcats biologically forced to fight for territory and love, Alfred tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). But Alfred will live a normal life if given the love and care all cats deserve. What's most important about our Alfred is he’s a big, handsome, and soulful boy looking for a family to cuddle with. Alfred would be happiest as an only cat. Are you ready to meet Alfred? The first step is to submit our adoption application at https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application. Adopters must live within 45 miles of Stamford, CT.
