Story
My 92-year-old mother recently passed away. After the funeral, I returned to Placerville with Toby, hoping to find a new home for him. My wife and I already have two other cats and a Corgi; we can't give him the attention he deserves. Toby is very easygoing, loves attention, and plays with his toys and the other pets. Toby has all his shots and all the documentation. He is a healthy 3-year-old gray Persian mix. Toby eats Periena One Advantage 1/2 cup a day. He has a “Spot” health insurance plan paid through July 1st, 2025, that will transfer to a new owner should you like to continue it after that. His bed, toys, litter box, cat carrier, paperwork, and health insurance through 07/01/2025 are included. Thank you for considering Toby. I pray he finds a good forever home.

Story
Hi there my name is Cole. I am half Persian, that’s my mom in the pictures. She is beautiful and I take after her. I am a very handsome little guy, I am pure black with my mom's eyes, golden and sparkly! My favorite place to be is with my human. I follow my foster mom everywhere she goes hoping she will sit down so I can climb in her lap. I am very affectionate and purr with delight all the time. All my siblings have gone home and left me all alone. That’s because I am a black kitten and for some reason, I have no idea why, black kittens do not get adopted easily. Did you know that in some cultures black cats are a sign of good luck? Check out this fun fact. One of the most persistent threats to black cat adoption rates is the centuries-old superstition that they are harbingers of bad luck. This myth, rooted in medieval Europe, paints black cats as witches’ familiars or omens of misfortune. Yet black cats are conversely seen as good-luck bringers in ancient Egyptian beliefs and Welsh folklore, for example. Well, I can’t help who I am and I’m ok with that because my foster mom tells me every day that I am beautiful with my soft as a bunny fur and my fluffy tail and gold eyes. She tells me that I will bring good luck to someone special and that I am loved no matter the color of my fur. I love all my foster friends and I am very playful but I am a really good boy, I don’t get into much trouble. I love to chase the spring all over the house until I lose it under something. I also love that stick thingy with the strings at the end, so much fun. I hope you will allow me into your home to bring you all the good luck I can produce together. All I ask for is your love. Cole is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his foster family in West Sacramento. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Cole please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Ellen at garyreason@gmail.com or 916-743-8324. If you are unable to reach Ellen please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

PPCR Cat Standard adult or kitten Born ~2020, M, Cream and Fawn Persian Adoption Fee: $300 All you need is one picture of this boy to have the whole picture of who he is. He is a little armful of soft cuddly treasured kitty. He loves humans and he loves being touched all over. He didn't love his bath but he was nice about it and it made a big difference to his coat, lightening it. He was very dusty. Hard though it is to imagine he must have been outside a lot. He was brought to a shelter covered with fleas. His coat has been shaved, first his back and later his tummy. He looks a bit like a little lamb right now but his fur will grow. It was fun bathing him. He is pretty much fun in every way. A kind cat rescuer got him out of the shelter and later transferred him to me. Gizmo clearly hasn't had the typical Persian life of napping on pillows and eating tidbits from the fingers of his human slaves. He came into the shelter filty matted and unneutered. This last has given him a particularly solid and muscular body but being outside it has also propelled him into fights with other males for the irresistible females. We know that because he is FIV +; he has the Feline Immunological Virus which is pretty much only passed in mating fights. Years ago ignorance of FIV caused shelters to euthanize many, many FIV+ kitties. Now as more research has been done on cats science has found that the lifespan of a FIV+ cats is about the same as any other cat. It is not a good thing but it is not at all as bad as other kitty troubles like heart and kidney disease. I have always fostered FIV+ cats. Most of my adopters have read up about it and are comfortable adding an FIV cat to the cats in their home.. Occasionally an adopter chooses not to do that. If Gizmo's FIV status concerns you I suggest you read about it on the web. He is friendly to other cats and would fit in with them easily. Or he could be an only cat. What he really wants is the company of his humans. He is not a good choice for folks who are gone all day everyday. Persians are treasures who need to be protected and their tender hearts must be kept safe. They need tons of love. Ands they will give you back even more. They are personal and intimate in the love they give, bred to be loving little companions. Some people worry about cats neutered late in life- fearful they will have litterbox problems. Captain Gizmo has been 100% litterbox perfect with us and also was perfect in his previous home. Some family will be so lucky to have this little boy's company Captain Gizmo is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet food, and eats dry food. He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. Story
Are you ready to meet the Princess? This is Snow White and she really is a little princess. She is a stunning pure white pure bred Persian with beautiful golden eyes. She came in to rescue with her 4 beautiful little one week old kittens. She was a wonderful mommy. All of her babies thrived in her care and are available for adoption now. Snow is a very relaxed, confident little princess with lots of love to offer. She loves to be brushed and her fur never mats. She is playful and it's so cute how she carries around a fuzzy mouse and grooms it just like it's one of her babies. She also loves the springs and will chase it around the room like she is a kitten. Snow is alone in the "kitten room" now because she was a nursing mom but she may enjoy a friend to live out her life with. However, a rambunctious kitten or very busy young cat may not be the best companion for her. She would prefer to either be an only princess or have a chill companion that doesn't play rough. After all a princess just wants to be spoiled and pampered. Princess Snow White is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento. Story
This guy! What a character he is! Of course, he is adorable. A breeder said Do you want him. ? I said YES. Of course. Immediately. And I knew I should call him Sweet William. He asks for attention right away. Pet me, love me, take me into your heart. It was funny, everyone in the vets office fell for him when he went into be neutered. Who can resist his appeal, both his personality and his appearance? He looks a bit like a little lamb with his mostly inch-long fur. He also looks a bit like a hot mess. I think he is growing his coat back from a lion shave. Some of his fur is twice as long as the rest. I think he is a Persian / Scottish Fold mix which accounts for his uneven coat. His tail is currently thin and disreputable, someone has combed out most of the 3- 4 inch long fur there. We gave him a bath which entirely surprised him, his first no doubt. He was good. It will take about six months for him to get his appearance together. I can't wait to see him. Photo's please. Sweet William loves to be petted. He wants to be with you though he prefers to keep his feet on the ground. You can pick him up and move him here and there and he is polite about it, maybe a little wiggly sometimes. However, he prefers to follow you about and help you with your chores. Along with his interest in your companionship comes his desire to be the only cat in your company. (no exceptions about that) As a breeder's cat he probably had to share his human(s) with too many other kitties. I think he is jealous of other cats. Let's let him be happy basking in his humans' undivided attention. He deserves it. This means he would probably prefer his family not have young children too. I have no idea how he would feel about dogs. He is a confident boy. Not shy. He will happily greet strangers at the door. If he grows the long coat I think he will have his new family may choose to get him a lion shave very summer. That is an easy option for Persians. Other than that he is an easy cat. He is perfect with his litterbox. He eats anything. Everything in the world is a toy for him, including you. He is tremendous fun. And such a sweet. sweet guy. Some family will be so lucky to have his devoted companionship. Sweet William is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped. He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
