Story
I know He is funny looking. Yes he really does have ears. They are just folded flat and covered with his long Persian hair. They are there. This funny kitty is definitely a one of a kind boy.The breeder who surrendered him to me kept him shaved in a lion cut. His coat has been growing in since I went to get him. Now he is a bit like a White Newfoundland dog- goofy, disheveled, full of fun. Yes definitely one of a kind. He is a pretty big boy. Having been neutered late in life he is very solid. He has long legs and a long body. I love his pink little nose. His folded ears do not give him hearing troubles or require more cleaning than a straight eared cat. Just keep an eye on them. I am writing this new bio for him because we know him better now and his coat has grown in so much he looks different. And he is great fun to photograph. Sweet William likes all manner of attention, he's pretty much up for anything. Probably as a breeder's cat he had to share his human's attention with too many other cats. He has shown us now that he can get along with other cats but he just doesn't want to be jealous of the attention they get. He would be happy to be your one and only also. I have no idea how he would feel about dogs. They might be great playmates for him- he is active and playful and likes to run. Sweet William has now gotten used to being held on a shoulder. The Persian in him especially makes him want to be loved all the time. He is good about being groomed and is the rare cat who will allow four hands to brush and comb him at once. "Pet me. Pet me.I love it." This boy wants to be a close bonded cuddlebug with some human who has time to be with him. He is not a good cat to be home alone all day while you are at the office. He would also be happy in a busy household with older children who could play with him. He wants to be your baby so I would not suggest very young children in his home. With his big coat his new family may choose to get him a lion shave very summer. That is common for Persians. Other than that he is an easy cat. He is perfect with his litterbox. He eats anything. Everything in the world is a toy for him, including you. He is tremendous fun. And such a sweet. sweet guy. (hence his name) Some family will be so lucky to have his devoted companionship. Sweet William is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Sweet William please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Story
Ginger and Sylvie MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. Adoption Fee: $550 for the pair Well, it is a safe guess that you have never seen a pair of Scottish Fold sisters like these two. They are so special. I couldn't believe my eyes when a breeder brusquely dropped them in my carrier in a MacDonald's parking lot. Sylvie was 4.6 pounds. Tiny! and her sister, Ginger, wasn't that much bigger. Sylvie is now 6 pounds and Ginger, just a little over 7. I have had them in foster now for four months. They needed time to unfold and learn to enjoy attention. They didn't have names. They hadn't had much of anything. Ginger's coat had been chopped down with scissors and needed to grow in. Vulnerable little unhappy babies, they needed to learn what it was like to be loved. Treasured is the word I like to use. Cats are so resilient. These kitties hid, relaxed a little, peeked out of their hiding place, gained some weight, looked out a window, and finally became grateful little kitties loving our kindness and attention. They are part Persian with their flat faces and super long hair. For Persians, love from their humans is the breath of life. They are vulnerable little beings who are dependent on love and must be protected and pampered. So I am looking for a home that can offer stability, quiet, safety, probably no other pets or maybe very quiet non dominant ones, no young children. These are not kitties for someone with an out of the house work schedule. Can you put them in the center of your home and heart. Can you nurture them til the roughness of their beginnings are forgotten and their hearts swell with happiness? Do you have time in your life to be there for them? Have you had Persians in your care before? That is a lot to look for right there but it is not all. These two have the most plush fur I have ever seen.Their amazing fur is a big job for anyone. Believe me on this and I have cared for a lot of Persians. Their coat is difficult. Their new family will need to run a comb thru their hair every day. That will probably suffice to keep matts from forming. Or you could have them lion cut once or twice a year. Their hair is fine silk and that makes matting more likely and the vast quantity of it and length intensifies that. I know there are organized, careful folk who would find this daily ritual really pleasing and full of love. Is that you? Look at the hair in Sylvie's tail -it is over 7.5" long. I measured it. Some family will be so lucky to get to live with the company of these two kitties who are treasures beyond price. Ginger is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Story
Meet Theodore (A213921)! Theodore is just three years young and looking for a loving home at the shelter.  Hi, I'm Theodore. I came in with my friend (possibly sibling?) Simon A213922. We were dumped in a cardboard box, can you believe that (?), and rescued by an amazingly kind person who brought us in to the shelter for safety. We are so traumatized from our experience that we are pretty much just trying to hide and try to figure out what is going on. Can you help us? We need a miracle, someone who will see us for the scared kitty, but also see us for the kind, gentle, loving kitty we are inside. It will just take time for us to relax and settle into a new routine in a new home, but our hearts are hopeful and ready to be discovered.Just because we came in together, does not mean that we have to be adopted together so don't feel bad if you can only adopt one of us. Thank you for listening to my story. Please give me a chance....thank you. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Please contact Renee (givethemahappylife@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. TO INQUIRE ABOUT THESE CATS email Renee at GiveThemAHappyLife@gmail.com  Include a bit about your home, who lives there and why you are interested in adopting a kittens now.  Thank you! Spicy was found with her leg stuck to a rat glue trap. With some of olive oil and a slight haircut we were finally able to free her and bring her home. After giving her a much needed bath, an adorable fluffy kitten was found underneath!Words to describe her would be playful, energetic, and fearless! Her favorite things to play with are a ball with a bell inside and a scratching post.Spicy would chose playing over being held until she is ready then will come to you for attention.  She's a gal who know what she wants! For this reason, Spicy would be best in a home without young kids.  She has also become very comfortable the two large dogs in the home and enjoys trying to catch their wagging tails.Spicy is full of personality and would love to be an addition to your home! Spicy is in a home with adult cats and dogs.  The cats don't like having a kitten around but Spicy would love it if a cat would play with her.   Courtney  Click here to watch a video of Spicy.February 21, 2025, 4:48 pm
