Story
Kobe is a 5-year-old corgi with a big personality and lots of lovable quirks. He’s a silly, affectionate boy who loves being close to his person, following you around and napping in funny positions (he’s a pro at splooting). He enjoys daily walks, playtime, and toys, but also values downtime, naps and routine. Kobe is sweet, sensitive, and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. He has a solid training foundation, is crate trained, and knows many commands, but will benefit from continued positive reinforcement. Kobe does experience anxiety and can be reactive at times, especially when overwhelmed, so he needs an experienced, patient owner familiar with dog body language and behavior. He has had a few bite incidents because of this. He is not mean, just fearful and has made great progress thus far. Kobe would thrive in a home that can provide stability, attention, and ongoing support to help him continue building confidence (no kids).

Story
Oak's Story Hi, my name is Oak! I am a four-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and, yes, I even come with my lineage paperwork. But what really matters is that I’m an incredibly sweet and friendly guy who loves meeting new people. I have a wonderful temperament and enjoy being around everyone I meet. I do well with other dogs, although I’ve never actually lived with a canine sibling before. I have lived with cats. I would also do better with older teenage children. Sadly, my current family is moving to a place that does not allow dogs, so I am now searching for a new forever home where I can be loved and cherished. I’m a well-mannered boy who: • Walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out and about • Is house trained • Is not a big barker • Has great manners and an easygoing personality I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and healthy, so I’m all ready to join my new family. If you think I might be the perfect addition to your home, please reach out to learn more about me. Interested in Oak? Please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**MIA** A friend in California rescued Mia after her previous owner abandoned her and her sister at a groomer. Mia is a 5-year-old female Dorgi, a mix of Corgi and Dachshund. She is intelligent, protective, loving, and independent. Trusting new people may take her a few days, but treats can help. Once comfortable, Mia loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, chewing on her split Elk antler, and running around the yard. She has a great personality and is incredibly loyal to her favorite human. Mia does not require constant attention and is happy to sit and chew on her antler while her owner works. However, when it's time for affection, she will put down her antler to enjoy quality time with her human. Mia's need for a loving owner will inspire compassion and care in anyone who meets her. What Mia Needs: Mia needs a home without children or small animals, as she prefers to be the only pet. She loves attention and requires someone to provide her with plenty of love and care. Additionally, she needs a fenced yard for potty breaks and walks. Keeping her on a healthy, canine-specific diet to ensure her well-being is essential, reflecting your commitment and responsibility as an owner. We will offer comprehensive guidance on how to care for her. Most importantly, Mia needs a loving person dedicated to keeping her forever and will never abandon her again. MIA is very protective and needs proper introductions with new people as she will try to protect her human and her home (it's a trait of the corgi-dachshund if not kept well socialized). Once she meets new people and sees them consistently, she makes friends.  How Can You Meet Mia? To meet Mia, please use the link provided to apply. One of our volunteers will review your application and contact you to answer any questions and determine if you are a good match for Mia. Mia's need for a loving owner will make you feel compassionate and caring. Mia has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and follows a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters about proper diet and nutrition.  There is a $350.00 adoption fee to adopt Mia. All funds will be used to cover her medical care and to help rescue more dogs.  Please  complete the online application using the following link:  https://rompinpawsrescue.com.   Be thorough in your responses and provide as much detail as possible so we can get to know you better and make the best match  p ossible.
