Story
Meet Ollie! Ollie is a big, sweet, beautiful Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He’s 4 years old (DOB 10/27/20) and was adopted by my family when he was a puppy. He is extremely smart, loyal, and affectionate. —He is house trained, kennel trained, and neutered. —He does fine with cats. He occasionally will (briefly) chase ours but generally ignores and never tries to hurt her. —He does fine with chickens. He occasionally will (briefly) chase ours but generally ignores them and never tries to hurt them. —He can sometimes be a little nervous when meeting new dogs for the first time but warms up to them. He had an Italian greyhound “brother” for almost 4 years. —He LOVES playing with toys, going on walks and running around our yard. —He can be aggressive when it comes to resource guarding of food, toys or me (“his person”). —He would do best with a single person or a couple, but not young children. I’m happy to give more information or answer questions.

Story
Diego is a one yr old 19-pound Pembroke Welch Corgi mix. He was surrendered by a couple who had him about a month. They both worked long hours and were kenneling this young dog for long hours. They were both sad but made the decision he needed more attention and exercise and reached out to surrender him to us. Diego has been fostered on a ranch with several big and small dogs as well as a variety of ranch animals and birds. Initially he had to learn a lot. He learned how to play with others, play with toys, enjoy quality chew items, swim in the pond, sleep quietly in the kitchen, go to the bathroom outside and be polite during mealtimes. This guy is smart as a whip and quickly fit into his foster home like he had lived there a long time. Diego will be a great companion for an active family or person and would do well to have another dog as part of his new family. Diego is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. His adoption fee is $300 If you can’t wait to pet this little guy who has fur as soft as a down feather, please submit an application from our website PoquitaPawsrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
