TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Corgi Dachshund mix (we think) and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

George has all the typical Corgi traits especially herding. After you earn his trust you will have the best buddy ever. Great with other dogs. Loves being outside. Needs some leash training g but he is so smart it should not take long.George is one of 5 dogs surrendered by theowner to the local shelter. One of the 5 was a RR dog, so we took in the other 4.  George needs a foster or adopter to help him know love and learn to have fun.Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.The application is the first step. Both are smart as whips and wokldmake fantastic agility dogs.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Nugget is a 22 pound solid ball of love and play!He comes from an abusive family who smacked the dog while surrendering him to the shelter. He takes a moment to build trust-kindness and love has already begun the healing for his heart here in foster care. Because he was hit he is guarded when you come at him from above with your hand-he needs a gentle and slowly loving approach and he is ready to play and play some more! His favorite game is fetch the ball and return. He LOVES toys and loved to “destuff” them!He does not like to be approached in the kennel by children-he will become frantic. I suspect he was tormented there. He does not like the kennel but we have been working on getting him comfortably secure there for nighttime rest. He is a great eater and not fussy. Nugget loves belly rubs and will turn over on his back for love all the time! He just wants to play and be loved.
