Read about our adoption process on our website. Loki is a spirited and affectionate 3-year-old tri-color Corgi looking for his forever home. This pup lived most of his life outdoors but is eager to transition into the loving, structured home he deserves. Loki thrives on affection and shows his happiness by standing on his hind legs and wiggling with joy when hes around people he trusts. True to his breed, Loki is smart, treat-motivated, and full of personality, making him a great fit for someone familiar with Corgi behaviours.Loki enjoys walks, running, and plenty of exercise, but hes still learning proper leash manners and can be reactive to other dogs while out and about. Hes crate-trained with some coaxing and is about 90% house-trained. Loki would do best as the only pet in the home, as he can be selective with other dogs and shows resource guarding with food or high-value treats. He hasnt been exposed to young children, so a home without them would be best. The perfect family for Loki will have patience, love, and a passion for helping rescue dogs thrive. A detached home with a fenced yard for him to run and play in, coupled with a savvy owner who can provide training tailored to Corgis, would give Loki the best chance to succeed. Loki will need ongoing training to help him be the best pup he can be! If youre ready to give this smart, affectionate boy the second chance he deserves, Loki will reward you with endless loyalty and joy.Adoption fee: $850Name: LokiBreed: CorgiAge: ~3 years Weight: ~27lbSex: Male, neutered Colour: Tri-colourMedical: Received treatment for heartworm and will need limited exercise until mid-February Good with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-6: Unknown, no exposureGood with kids 6+: Unknown, no exposure Good with dogs: He can be selective, and is best with larger dogs - would be best as an only dog Good with cats: NoHouse trained: 90%Crate trained: Yes, will enter with coaxing Resource guarding: Food/high value treats from other dogs Walks on a leash: Yes - will pull and has shown some leash reactivity to other dogs Energy level: HighRequires detached/single home: Preferred Separation anxiety: None seen Barker: Average
