Laci is a five year old, retired puppy mill survivor. She didn't know any other life than inside a cage - until now - so the outside world is very scary to her. Sudden, loud sounds will make her jump and run. We have found she is much better with a second relatively mellow dog to help her and a quiet home will calm her. She is walkable, as long as the other dog is along. By gently encouraging her to face her fears, while supporting her, she is slowly becoming more outgoing. She may never be outgoing like a normal dog, but she can strive to live her best life. When she's feeling safe and comfortable, she has this silly, fun side that comes out and will bounce around and play bite - she's so cute! She doesn’t get into things in the house and is very quiet. Once she decides you aren't going to hurt her, she is a serious snuggle bug and will always be close. She is recently housebroken and is crate trained. She needs a quiet home, a second relatively mellow dog, a securely fenced yard, and a supportive, encouraging owner.

Auggie is 4 years old born 12/26/2020. We got him from a farm in Annandale as a puppy. He has a lot of energy and loves to fetch. I would really like a fenced in yard for him as he loves to be outside. He is a leash puller so he could definitely use more training and he is a barker. He is the most friendly dog and loves everyone. I just don’t have the time or energy he needs and to be honest I never did.
