Story
We adopted Baby from an All Herding Dog Rescue in 2022. They said, she was used for breeding purposes. She was a little nervous, but very loving. Loves being petted, brushed and playing. As my husband has become sick we've moved to an apartment and Baby has lived with my daughter and grandkids. She's adjusted very well. But someone needs to be home with her as she isn't totally housebroken. We would let her out in the morning in a fenced in yard and do so every couple hours, she had very few accidents during the day and night. My daughter works and with Winter coming on this isn't possible. We love Baby and want a good home for her with people that understand her first 5 years as a breeding Corgi was not the life she deserved. She's now approximately 7, up to date on her shots and a wonderful, loving Corgi!

Lucy is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, born May 2020.  Lucy is a loyal girl and loves her people.  She is friendly with strangers and kids of all ages.  Lucy is leash trainined, crate trained and knows some commands.  She likes to give kisses and will enjoy being your lap dog.  Lucy does not do well around other dogs, so she will need to be the only pet in the home.  Lucy enjoys having her own personal space for dining.  Let's find this friendly girl a new home! The suggested adoption donation for Lucy is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Corgi Dachshund mix (we think) and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
