Story
Hi! My name is Jagger. I am a really sweet little guy and I am just looking for my furever home! I am about 2 years old (born around 12-3-2022), weigh about 9 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $450, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 6/2/2022 Reason for being in rescue: Tucker was surrendered by his owners to a SC shelter. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled him from the shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Tucker is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Tucker has heartworms and was treated pre-rescue. Radiographs of the heart were taken by our veterinarian and will be provided to adopters. The radiographs show clear lungs and only mild heart enlargement on the right side from the worms. No additional treatment is recommended and he is ready for adoption. Weight: 36 lbs Height: 14 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $249 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Tucker is a lover, and there is just no other way to put it. Tucker wants to be your little king. You and him and the movies on TV. Tuckers wishes for a life where he is the center of all your attention. He does enjoy the company of other dogs, however Tucker wants to be an only dog. Tucker likes to play it safe when picking out his friends, and that is a-okay with us! He enjoys lounging around with you after walks, or a little romping around in the yard. He does have a playful side to him but as a distinguished gentlemen he prefers to play with his human friends. Tucker is not a lover of cats or overly energetic small dogs, for him you are his only love. Tucker would fair well in a large apartment or condo. He would even enjoy a home with a fenced in yard, though it is not required for Tucker. We do not know if Tucker has ever lived with children, but he has a demeanor well suited for children 10 and over. What is my personality like? Tucker is a mellow mild energy boy with a heart of gold!! He is such a lover boy! He is just so happy to be with his humans. He will accept all the pets he can get and will soak up every shred of affection offered. He is good with other dogs as long as they respect his personal space and boundaries. However, Tucker still very much wants to be an only dog and would love a life as your only furry companion. He just can't help but to soak up everything you have to give for himself. Tucker is clean in his crate and goes in easily after a treat. Tucker is working on learning 'sit' and food motivated. A yard is not required for Tucker, he's so mellow, two walks around the neighborhood and maximum cuddles on the couch should suffice. Tucker is a wonderful boy who appreciates a mellow lifestyle. If you're looking for a chill buddy, he is a great companion! How do I act when I first meet new people? Tucker has been with CPR for over two years now, but this has never put a damper on meeting new people and the moment you are spotted Tucker is there. He loves good back pats and will even occasionally ask for belly rubs. Tucker adores all human interaction and craves a good pet from anyone willing to give him one! Give him a treat and suddenly you have become his new favorite person! Other tips and tidbits: Tucker is estimated at 4 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 2/14/2018. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. November 5, 2024, 5:31 pm

Willow is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 12/2/24 Willow had a dental polishing. Willow is a poodle / pekingese mix. She is NOT hypoallergenic. Willow is half of a bonded pair with her best friend Sadie. They will only be adopted together. If you aren't looking for 2 dogs, Willow is not your dog. Weight: 12.5 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 for the pair Fence needed? Yes, Willow requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Willow and Sadie are a bonded pair. They have always been together, sharing a pen in their former home, so they must be adopted together. We know it may be challenging to find someone willing to adopt two dogs, but we’re hopeful that the perfect family will fall in love with these two sweet girls and offer them a forever home. Willow’s ideal home would be one where someone is around most of the day. Retirees or individuals who work from home would be the perfect fit. Willow and Sadie prefer to be the only dogs in your home. Cats would be okay. What is my personality like? Say hello to Willow, a six-year-old Peekapoo, affectionately known as Woo Woo (or simply Woo). She and her sister, Sadie were surrendered to us when their owner had a new baby and could no longer care for them. Her owner shared, “These two are so very loved, and I’m going to be lost without them. I hope they find a home together, but as long as they find someone who loves them and spends time with them, I’ll be happy.” Willow loves people and craves attention, especially belly rubs. She’s a bit of a snuggle bug and loves being near her humans. While she can suffer from some separation anxiety and may nip at your pant leg when you leave, she’s also very sweet and affectionate once she feels comfortable with you. Willow has a dislike for car rides—while Sadie will sit still, Willow prefers to wander and might try to sit in your lap, so taking them along to alleviate their anxiety may not be the best solution. Willow is very fond of food. We think “When Harry Met Sally” is Willow’s favorite movie because when she sees you eating she’ll look at you and seemingly say, “I’ll have what she’s having.” Go ahead and try and resist giving her some. Because she can be a little food-aggressive, it’s best to feed her separately from Sadie. She loves vegetables, fruits, and especially pizza—so be prepared for some adorable begging! Willow loves attention, especially belly rubs. They are her favorite! She’s a little snuggle puppy and loves her big sister Sadie. She also loves her “babies” - stuffed animals. She’ll greet you with one in her mouth and expects lots of praise for her prized possessions. She enjoys chasing squirrels and has a protective streak, barking at delivery people and keeping a watchful eye on the house. Willow is housebroken and crate-trained, though she would prefer to sleep with you—whether you're in the bed or not! She and Sadie used to cuddle together on the couch at night, but Willow is perfectly content snuggling up wherever she can get some love. If you have the time, patience, and love to offer, Willow (and her sister Sadie) will bring joy, companionship, and endless snuggles to your life. These girls are ready to find their forever family.  Willow is a sweet girl that loves attention and pets but most of all, belly rubs! How do I act when I first meet new people? At first, Willow can be a little shy and cautious with new people. But once she gets to know you, she’s a total lovebug who craves attention, pets, and—of course—belly rubs. Other tips and tidbits: We estimate Willow was born on or around 12/1/2018. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours.
