Wonton’s a 3yo 8lb Pekingese mix. He’s dog and kid 12+ friendly. He’s house and pee pad trained. He’s great in a secure fenced in yard. He’s very sweet, cuddly and affectionate with people and other friendly dogs. He tends to prefer not to want to be picked up but will find his way to cuddle next to his people, lay in their arms and on them so needs to be allowed on furniture to get to his people. Wonton’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard along with being allowed on the furniture to cuddle with his people and sleep in bed with them. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Wonton’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Bensalem, PA. He loves other dogs of all sizes and likes to hang, learn, and sleep with his buds. Given his size and lack of manners (puppy teeth are sharp!) we feel he would do best in a home with older kids. He seems super smart, so his training should go smoothly. This boy has loads of potential and will be a wonderful companion for the family willing to give him a chance. She just had a dental, microchipped, spayed, brought current on vaccines and microchipped. She was also heartworm/lyme tested and she did test positive for lyme so she will be on doxycycline for 30 days. Can you love her for her senior years? Gizmo is a very sweet little boy, however he does not like children due to them tormenting him in his previous home. He has the typical Pekingese personality and we require an adopter familiar with the breed. He would do great as the only dog in the household. He had food and resource guarding issues in the shelter, but we found that not to be problematic in our care. He is just a typical Pekingese. A sensitive breed with a strong personality. We think he is an exceptional little boy that any lover of this breed would adore. A quiet home with someone there most of the time that wants a constant loyal companion and who understands and loves this breed of dog is the best home for Giz. All potential adopters must fill out applications and be approved before meeting the pet they are interested in adopting. To adopt one of the precious lives that we have saved, this rescue requires an approved application, a suitable home environment, a signed adoption contract, and an adoption fee. If approved to adopt, we expect applicants to pick up their new pets in person at the pet's foster location.
