Chino is my Mom's dog. Mom is a two time cancer survivor, however cancer has come back again and she is not doing very well. She has got to the point where she can not take care of him or herself.

NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 10/11/2024:  Loverboy - male - 13 years old - 12.2 pounds - Pekingese Reason for intake:  We were contacted by a local animal organization about a little Pekingese whose mom is elderly, very ill and in and out of the hospital.  We agreed to take the little guy and here he is.  Pretty much everything is done and he's been lovingly cared for his entire life.  He just desperately needs a dental.  He's heading to our vet next week to get that done.  Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
