TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY!!! Perry, like most pekes, loves his family with his whole heart and wants to protect them. Unfortunately, he seems to have spent most of his short life in a backyard so didn't have the socialization he should have had, hence his mild case of 'stranger danger'. He has to be introduced to his new people before adoption and therefore is posted as local in Texas only. Perry is a love and is perfect with house skills, car riding skills, leash skills and cuddle skills and would do best in a home where his family is home a lot. He loves outings and especially walks but need to watch the heat for him, with his short nose and pekingese mane :) Perry gets along with cats, his foster's parrots and loves her dogs that are the same size, energy level as he is. He would be great in a moderate energy house with not too much traffic and an adult home, active and unpredictable kids would not be a good match for Perry. He is looking for just the right home!! If you know the breed and are a good leader, then fill out the adoption application!! BTW, Perry had a badly injured eye when found on the streets. He had to have it removed, so he is a one-eyed pekingese, but what a beautiful eye he has!! Local adoption fee is $400 (in TX only)
