Story
A SWEET & FRIENDLY FELLOW: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 16 lbs. Hi, my name’s Cooper – a cute, fellow who was thankfully rescued from animal control! I’m enjoying all the love and attention from the volunteers here, and I recently heard them say I am ready to find my very own family now! That makes me super happy, so come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! I needed a good bit of medical care when I arrived, so please see my medical section at the bottom. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I also haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m an affectionate, sweet and loving guy who was ‘a little angel’ for my shelter bath. Playful and curious, I check out everything with my sniffer. I’ve got great focus when the tennis balls come out to play with as that’s just a lot of fun. My friendly nature will make you smile! / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I don’t know any specific commands yet, but I’ve heard that my leash manners are pretty good. I bet you can teach me a lot. / I prefer being with people, so I sometimes try to escape my kennel when I sense people are leaving. / My potty habits have been very good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I always look forward to my daily walks with the volunteers and enjoy checking out everything out. I know I will love doing that in my new home, too. I enjoy being in laps and liked having my coat brushed after my bath … ahhhh! When it is time to play, I enjoy tennis balls! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I needed a good dental cleaning, cherry eye surgery and a wart removed from my back, so I’ve had all of that taken care of! I do have chronic dry eyes so I will need to stay on eye meds several times a day for life as well as heart meds for a grade 3/6 heart murmur. I also have a grade 3 Luxating patella in my left rear leg which may need stabilization surgery in the future. I’m on an over-the-counter Cosequin tablet which is helpful for a little arthritis that I have and is just good for older dogs. I am looking for a loving home with a family that will take great care of me for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga. March 4, 2025, 8:34 am
