Story
Meet Mr. Cody, the delightful 1.5-year-old Pekingese/ Pomeranian mix who's ready to find his forever home! Weighing in at 15 pounds, he sports a beautiful golden red and white coat that surely catches the eye. Rescued by a family who discovered him in their backyard, Cody has found a temporary haven at the AFC sanctuary, where we are dedicated to ensuring he finds a loving and suitable home. Cody gets along well with other dogs in the sanctuary, but he has shown a preference for being the solo star in your home, although a gentle companion might be just fine. As a Pekingese/ Pomeranian mix ?, he will require regular professional grooming to keep his coat in tip-top shape. While he may need some leash training, Cody has quickly adapted to indoor life and loves the comforts it brings. Don’t be surprised if he cries a little when left outside alone; he's quite the affectionate little guy who enjoys being inside and close to his humans. He's already mastered the doggie door and comes and goes on command, but may need a little assistance with house training. Mr. Cody is happy to lounge by your feet, soaking up all the love and praise you offer. His tail wags joyfully in response to praise and affection, making him an ideal companion for someone ready to embrace his playful spirit. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this charming little guy? Mr. Cody is eagerly waiting for you to give him the love he deserves! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
