Story
Toby Roby: 11 years old, 20 pounds, Miniature Pinscher This senior is a  perfect match for a mature household that wants to pamper a little dog. Toby Roby is housetrained, crate trained, fine with dogs and cats (except when eating), good on a leash and overall well mannered. He does have 'get up and go' so if you don't have a fenced yard he would need several walks a day. Toby's adopter must be familiar with food guarding. This gentleman is good natured except around food and treats: he gets possessive, therefore no kids. He does not want to be disturbed. His foster writes, "Toby is a very sweet boy, but it takes him a little while to warm up. When it’s food time, he jumps up in the air until you set the bowl on the ground, then beware of approaching this little bugger! After meals he returns to his sweet self. " Toby loves to sleep on the couch pillows and going under the bed covers. He just needs time to adjust to to enjoy his meals in private. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.November 2, 2024, 4:33 pm

Story
Bat is a 7-month-old, 11lb black Manchester Terrier mix. Bats looks live up to his name with his wide eyes and big ears, and he's got the big personality to match! Given that he is a puppy, Bat would do best in a home with a fence in yard where he can romp around and get that energy out, and really would thrive with another active dog in the house. While Bat does like cats, he sometimes likes them a little too much and will chase them to get them to play so he may do better in a home without any cat siblings, or with cats who can tolerate some puppy energy. Bat is very intelligent and learned his housebreaking quickly. He is fully vetted and ready to grow up in his forever home! If you think Bat is the one for you, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
