Story
**Courtesy Post** Valentine lost the person she loved most in the world, her owner died. Valentine is 6-7 years old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Her owner had been sick for a long time and when they passed away it left Valentine in need of a new home. Valentine was very protective of my sister and will need patience to gain trust again. She is understandably confused and sad. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt her. Valentine needs a securely fenced yard, but she definitely needs to be an indoor dog. She requires a home with no kiddos and no cats. Other dogs are ok as long as they are male dogs. Her adopter must be able to drive to the Georgetown, Texas area to get her. There is a small rehoming fee. If you are interested in giving Valentine a forever home, please contact her owner at dwdulle@gmail.com and they will email you an adoption application.

Story
**Courtesy Post** I’ve had the pleasure of caring for Toby for the past four months, and during this time, I’ve seen what a truly special dog he is. Toby is about three and a half years old, up-to-date on all his shots, and neutered. He’s a healthy boy who’s ready to find his forever home. Toby has a gentle nature, but he’s also a bit shy, especially around men he doesn’t know. He can be reactive in those situations, so he needs someone who understands his boundaries and can give him the time he needs to feel safe. With patience and love, I’ve seen him warm up and become loyal and affectionate. If you’re looking for a dog who will be deeply loyal and just needs a bit of extra understanding, Toby might be the perfect match. He’s been through a lot, but with the right person or family, I know he’ll thrive. Toby requires a home with no kiddos, no little critters or farm animals. Toby will do fine with cats though. Toby needs a securely fenced yard. He will keep it free of squirrels and other varmints for you! There is a small rehoming fee for Toby. If you are interested please contact his owner at ambermichellelawson@gmail.com and they will email you an adoption application. Toby’s adopter needs to drive to the Austin, Texas area to get him.

Story
Meet Pip, a 2-year-old mixed breed whose heart is as big as his story is heartbreaking. Just days ago, Pip was pulled into our care on what was meant to be his final day. The shelter he came from couldn't handle the severity of his injuries, initially believed to be from a car accident, but we now know he was the victim of gunshot wounds. For weeks, Pip endured this pain without any medical care-no pain relief, no wound treatment-yet he remained as sweet and loving as ever. Since coming to us, we've discovered that Pip's injury is far worse than we thought, and it's in his best interest to amputate his leg. Despite everything he's been through, Pip is a perfect patient, lying still and trusting us completely during his daily wound care, as if he knows we're here to help him. Pip now needs a hero-a medical foster or someone ready to provide the care he needs during his recovery. He's on medications and requires bandage changes, but he's nothing short of an angel. Amputation will give Pip a pain-free life, and tripods thrive just as much-if not more-than their four-legged friends. Pip's road to recovery is long, but his spirit shows he's ready for the journey. Will you be the one to help him take that first step?
