Story
Mindy is such a cute pup with her big cat-like ears that are usually back with joy of being with you! This blonde girl is great at matching the mood in the room. If it's movie time, she is chill. If it's run outside time, she keeps up with the big dogs. She does great with my cats and kid, too. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is polite to her toys (aka doesn't destuff them). She'd be a great addition to any home! This bouncy little girl is Mindy. Yes Mork & Mindy. They came in together. She is roughly about the same age as Mork. We believe she is also a Jack russell.Any at first but fun and loving when she see you will be her friendAvailable dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
Meet Angel's baby Jude aka Benny. He went to what we thought was his forever home and they basically ignored his every need and traumatized him by keeping him crated way too much. This baby was born June 13th 2023. He is fostered in West TN but can be transported as far north as northern CT. Benny is coming out of his shell. He is fantastic! Benny progress. In 1 week he went from being terrified to ride to looking forward to his rides. He kennels into his seat for restraints, but we haven't tried kennel into his crate again yet. If you remember, he has crate anxiety. My hopes are that associating the rides he loves into his crate time will teach him that crate time is fun time for him. Benny did the cutest thing yesterday. I wasn't getting his harness and leash on him fast enough. He attempted to jump off our bench into the harness. I might could teach him to jump through hoops with this knowledge. Benny is eager to please. Benny is available for adoption. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He is borderline high energy. Exercise and interaction is a positive for him. If you are interested in adopting, please visit funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and you can submit the application athttps://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog You can also see videos of the pups on our FB page at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue/ Adoption fee is $250 which helps to cover all of the vetting and transport is an additional $200

Story
Rocket was born in October 2015. January 2016 we purchased him from the Yuppie Puppy pet store which specialized in getting dogs from “good breeders” not puppy mills. We had a previous dog for 17 years and the house just seemed empty without a dog. The whole family was in alignment to get a new dog and understood the commitment to training a puppy.Rocket’s early years were spent at home and our children were in 3rd and 7th grade when he arrived. He enjoyed playdates in the yard with the kids and their friends. Playing ball, hide-and-seek and building forts. Rocket would just runaround with the kids and always wanted to be involved. My husband and I work traditional 9-5 jobs and the kids went to school. Some days Rocket would go to “puppy daycare” which he thoroughly enjoyed. In true Jack Russell fashion he would try to rule the place. Walking on the perimeter top of the fence as if he was on patrol. We used to joke with the proprietors and say he thought he was the mayor. When Rocket was about 4 we noticed he developed some environmental allergies. Pink belly and chewing at his feet. We brought him to the Vet and he needed an allergy shot. We also like to have rockets nails trimmed. Otherwise they split and he hurts his toes while running around and digging. He gets this allergy shot seasonally in the fall and spring, essentially 2x a year.Rocket has his own room (the dining room which is gated) with a crate and has NEVER slept in a bed with us or our kids. Occasionally there is a nap on the couch, but for the most part everyone has their own bed and he sleeps solidly through the night 7-8 hours.  Sometimes Rocket wakes up grumpy and it takes him a few minutes to adjust. Just give him space and a moment to wake up and he is fine. November 5, 2024, 12:34 am
