Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Rusty, a high-energy terrier with a love for toys, belly scratches, and a sunny personality that’s hard to resist. This playful pup thrives on attention and exercise, which is key for channeling his terrier energy. Although Rusty isn’t much of a cuddle bug yet, he’s likely to become more affectionate with more human interaction and plenty of activities to keep him busy. Rusty has striking colors—black, rust, and a white shaggy chest—that make his name a perfect fit. His foster family calls him “Ruffessor Rusty,” and it’s easy to see why with his lively, quick, and clever nature. He loves to fetch toys, often showing off his cat-like agility with speed and springiness. While he does well crated during the day when his family is out, he’s vocal about wanting to get out and play as soon as they return. His favorite time might be when he gets one-on-one time with his foster mom, bringing his toys and settling down inside after a busy day of outside adventures. Full of life, Rusty would do great with a dedicated human companion who understands the needs of a young energetic dog. He’s best suited for an active family who can provide the exercise and attention he craves. Rusty would be happy either as an only dog or with a dog sibling, as long as he has someone to play with and bond closely with. He’s a smart, devoted dog ready to become someone’s best friend! Rusty is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
