Meet Angel's baby Jude aka Benny. He went to what we thought was his forever home and they basically ignored his every need and traumatized him by keeping him crated way too much. This baby was born June 13th 2023. He is fostered in West TN but can be transported as far north as northern CT. Benny is coming out of his shell. He is fantastic! Benny progress. In 1 week he went from being terrified to ride to looking forward to his rides. He kennels into his seat for restraints, but we haven't tried kennel into his crate again yet. If you remember, he has crate anxiety. My hopes are that associating the rides he loves into his crate time will teach him that crate time is fun time for him. Benny did the cutest thing yesterday. I wasn't getting his harness and leash on him fast enough. He attempted to jump off our bench into the harness. I might could teach him to jump through hoops with this knowledge. Benny is eager to please. Benny is available for adoption. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He is borderline high energy. Exercise and interaction is a positive for him. **Hercules is bonded with Athena and will only be adopted out with her.**Hercules is a high energy adult dog who will be able to continue his active lifestyle long into his golden years with support from his humans. He is social and outgoing and is ready to add some zip to the life of his new people.OTHER PETS: Hercules has lived with other dogs before and does well meeting them; he is calm and solicits play and would likely do well living with other dogs. As with all our adoptable dogs, Hercules should meet any dog he would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] KIDS: Hercules is an energetic pooch who is spry beyond his years and comfortable with handling, making him a great playmate for smaller humans. As with all our dogs, Hercules should meet any minor humans he would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Hercules would do best with daily walks and mental enrichment to ensure he keeps his muscles & mind in prime shape even if he doesn't feel like playing much that day. He would likely do well on trail walks once he learns loose-leash walking, and could even compete for fun in dog sports like agility with proper positive reinforcement training. Keeping Hercules active, with moderate exercise and mental enrichment, will help him be able to stay active long into his golden years. She is looking for humans who will support her while she builds her self confidence.OTHER PETS: Athena lived with another dog before and is more confident when around that dog. Alone, she was uninterested in other dogs but not aggressive towards them either. Any dogs interested in living with Athena should meet her first to ensure a good match. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [Some Experience] KIDS: Athena is uncomfortable with handling and working on building self confidence, her best fit would be with humans who were able to respect her boundaries and work slowly to build a trust bond with her.
