That’s exactly what happened to this bonded pair, Abbie and Zoey. These two ladies lost their human unexpectedly to some health concerns, therefore leaving his will unfinished and the dogs unaccounted for. The executor in charge of handling the property wanted the dogs out or left for dead so we agreed to take them in after hearing their story. Abbie (10 years old spayed female, ~ 10lbs Lhasa Apso) and Zoey (8 years old spayed female, ~35lbs Terrier mix) are the sweetest, most gentle dogs. They’re dog-friendly and people-friendly. They’ve had lab work done and are current on vaccines with no known health concerns. They’re not handling being in a new environment within our rescue and are stressed. He is very docile, affectionate, and careful with children and others. In addition to playing fetch, he really thinks stuffed toys are 2nd best, and he actually likes to play in water, too. This little one year old, 11 pounder is perfect for almost any environment. You won't have to talk him into eating a sausage or two and with or without them, he is an obedient little one. He lives inside, goes outside to do his business, and is a lover of car rides and meeting new people. He is looking for a home with maybe other dogs, or cats, and, or children too.

Kalua is a spunky, happy, high energy and very intelligent 21 pounds of love and curiosity! She is just about one year's old and weighs 21 pounds. Kalua really enjoys running and playing with stuff toys. She thinks kids are great maybe because they like to throw her toys for her. Very affectionate, attentive, ready and eager for her daily walks; she is in the process of learning how to properly walk on a leash. Obedient because she loves you and wants to make you happy. Crate trained, not sure about interactions with cats, pees outside in a little sandy area of the yard, which tells us she can learn to do her business where you teach her to go.

This lucky little guy is being fostered in one of Westside’s most experienced foster homes, where he receives ample affection and direction while he waits for that very special ‘forever’ home. Clifford holds a remarkable passion for those he trusts, enthusiastically greeting all members of the foster family with leaps of joy and ample wet kisses when they return home, especially enjoying hugs and cuddles on the sofa with the family. He savors the energetic playtime in the yard with his foster fur siblings as much as he does the gentler long walks in the neighborhood with his favorite people. Clifford’s prior life on the streets of LA came with its challenges -- where he did his best to love and protect the homeless woman who eventually relinquished him because she could no longer care for him – but Clifford’s life took an extraordinary turn with Westside. His foster family is so proud of the crucial adjustments that Clifford has made to this significant lifestyle change, facilitated by an environment of trust and compassion that was offered to this sweet young guy. Being a super smart lad, Clifford quickly became convinced of his great fortune and has blossomed into a well-adjusted member of his foster family. Clifford sleeps quietly in his crate all night, is housebroken, and otherwise very trustworthy in the family’s house. Izzy was adopted by me at 4 months . She’s been with me for 3 birthdays already . It breaks my heart to consider rehoming her, I recently had a baby and she’s allergic to dogs. We’ve gone to see an allergist to be sure and she is unfortunately I need to re home Izzy. Taking her to a shelter is a no , I am looking for a sweet family to take her in and love her just as much as we do. She loves car rides , especially to the park or even run errands . On weekends she goes with me to Trader Joe’s and now she’s a regular getting her Milk bone treats . Izzy is a very healthy dog and never have had issues, we keep her up to date with all physicals and vaccinations.
