If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form. https://www.chewdogrescue.org/adopt Meet Penny! Sweet, petite, and full of personality—Penny is ready to meet you! This little lady is as lucky as she is lovable. Smart and eager to please, Penny is already learning commands like sit, stay, come, and turn around. She’s even tried her paw at agility—and jumped right in with enthusiasm! Penny walks well on a leash, enjoys naps with her person, and adores affection. She gets along wonderfully with people and other dogs. While she’s not a big barker, she’ll let you know if someone’s at the door. One of her favorite pastimes? Perching on the back of the couch to keep an eye on the world outside. Penny’s got heart, smarts, and a whole lot of love to give. Ready to bring home your lucky charm? If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.

Story
(An adoption fee of $400 is required.) If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form. https://www.chewdogrescue.org/adopt This handsome 11-pound fluffball is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find his furever home! Lobo is a true people-pup with a heart of gold—especially drawn to children. In any room, he’ll make a beeline for the kids and shower them with affection. He’s been the perfect little co-pilot on daily car and ferry commutes with his foster mama, happily riding in his dog seat without a fuss. Social butterfly? Absolutely. Lobo spends his days at a busy salon, mingling with 20–30 people, soaking up attention, and returning it with cuddles galore. At home, he’s a sweet snuggler who’s crate-trained but much prefers curling up in bed with his foster mama and dog siblings. He’s potty trained, enjoys his nightly brushing routine, and is making great progress on leash training. When left alone for a few hours, he happily lounges on the couch like a little gentleman. Lobo is looking for a loving family where he can keep being his affectionate, loyal, and adorable self. Could that be you? If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. Story
Meet Lucky – Your Fluffy-Eared Best Friend! Lucky is a five-year-old, 17 lb, Papillon mix (we think!) with the fluffiest ears and the sweetest soul. This fun, easy-going guy is all about the simple joys in life—sniffing around the yard, lounging on the couch, playing with friends, and soaking up all the love you have to give. Lucky enjoys playtime, especially chasing toys and showing off his sit skills. He’s a gentle treat-taker and is very food motivated, making him eager and ready to learn new things. He loves the company of other dogs of all sizes, and loves to play with his friends, but would also be fine as an only dog. He's also cat tolerant, making him a great option for a cat-friendly home. Lucky is an independent pup who doesn’t need constant attention but he won't pass up the chance to cuddle with you on the couch either. He's a sweet an affectionate guy, making him the ideal companion. His playfulness comes in spurts and he definitely knows how to unwind and relax. Lucky rides well in the car, walks easy on leash, is confident, and not reactive. He would make an ideal pup for someone who wants to take him on lots of outings to the dog park, local brewery or cafe, to the farmer's market, or wherever else you like to hang out. He's an easy going guy that will enjoy any adventure. He’s not just a dog—he’s a best friend in the making, waiting patiently for his forever home. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Meet Eden – Your Perfect Companion Awaits! Eden is a two-year-old male Papillon mix with a small, compact frame, weighing around 6kg. This adorable pup is not only charming in looks but also has a heart full of love to give. His soft, shiny coat and long, fluffy tail make him irresistibly cute—and his gentle personality makes him even more special. Eden is incredibly calm and quiet—he rarely barks and has a sweet, mild-mannered nature. He absolutely loves people and has a friendly, approachable attitude, even with strangers. If you're looking for a dog who brings warmth and affection just by being nearby, Eden is your guy. He thrives on human companionship and is happiest when he's by your side. He's also great with other dogs and gets along well with cats, making him a perfect fit for multi-pet households. Eden walks beautifully on a leash—no pulling or excessive excitement—and adapts quickly to new environments and people. He’s house-trained for both indoor and outdoor settings, showing he’s got solid routines and excellent manners. Due to his past as a stray, Eden has a history of chronic ear infections from his time in a shelter, so he’s sensitive about having his ears touched. But even when uncomfortable, he never shows aggression—he simply avoids the situation quietly. His gentle, patient nature shines through in everything he does. Eden is the total package: adorable, affectionate, well-socialized, and well-behaved. He’s ready to find a loving, stable home where he can be cherished and return that love tenfold. If you're ready to open your heart to a loyal and tender companion, Eden might just be the warmest, most meaningful addition to your life. Ready to meet your perfect match? Eden is waiting!

Story
Meet Lara💗 Lara is a super calm small girly. She loves humans and gets along well with children, but is not really interested in dog friends. She’s super cuddly and calm, so the house size wouldn’t matter much. She loves going for a short walk and is trained for housebreaking, so it is essential for you to take her for a walk at least two times a day. She’s also indifferent to dogs or humans she meet outside, but wants to lead the walk herself. She sheds a bit - not a lot; mediate level, and is also really good at grooming, so it wouldn’t be a big worry. However, she doesn’t really prefer long car trips – she doesn’t eat in cars and is a bit afraid of being in them at the first time. She is not kennel trained, but does sleep in her own bed. She also loves to cuddle on human bed and sofa! Allergy/health issues: No allergy or health issues yet found. *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.
