Meet Teddy Roosevelt! A spirited eight-and-a-half-year-old Papillon/Cocker Spaniel mix from New York, NY, Teddy is as charming as he is resilient. With his chocolate-brown coat and 8-pound frame, he embodies a brave, independent spirit and a personality that’s equal parts sweet and strong-willed. Teddy thrives on companionship and is happiest when snuggling under a blanket or resting on your lap. He fills any room with warmth and affection, greeting his loved ones with pure joy. He also loves toys and appreciates the predictability of a steady routine. Teddy’s high-strung, strong-willed temperament makes him best suited for a quiet, calm home away from city noise and high-energy environments. Noise sensitivity and feeling overwhelmed in unfamiliar or busy settings are part of his personality. He has experienced biting issues when overstimulated or uncomfortable, so his new guardian will need to understand his triggers and support him with patience and care. Teddy prefers smaller, calm dogs as companions and can be overwhelmed by larger ones. While generally friendly with cats, he would thrive in a home without children, where his boundaries and need for control over his space can be respected. A compassionate and experienced caregiver who can help him feel secure and confident would be the perfect match. Pookie is a charming 4-year-old Papillon-Chihuahua mix looking for a forever home. At 13lbs, this little guy has spent his life with one family and due to no fault of his own, they had to give him up. Pookie is still adjusting to his new surroundings but has taken it all in stride. He’s very sweet and willing to take on new adventures, and absolutely loves being with his human.  Pookie is a bit cautious around men and may need a little extra patience to build trust, but when he warms up, he becomes the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. He adores long walks where he can strut his stuff and explore, and he’ll happily follow you around the house like your tiniest, most devoted shadow.  If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky little sidekick, Pookie might just be your perfect match! We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
