Are you looking for a friend to go hiking, exploring, & trail blazing? Are you interested in a mad game of parkour? Boogey is your guy!! Energy that could run every appliance in your home for a week, lol. Boogey is equal parts athletic champion & snuggle buddy.
Boogey will walk & do potty business while on a harness and leash. But it is important to note that he cannot get the exercise he needs on a leash. He hasn't had any training in recall, we feel like his best life would be lived with a yard that is secure & physically fenced. We won't completely rule out no fence, but our preference is going to be a fence.
Boogey enjoys the company of his foster brothers and sisters. He looks to them for guidance & companionship. If his humans are home a lot, retired or work from home, a canine companion wouldn't be a must. You will want to have a dedicated secure area of the home set up for Boogey when you aren't home. If you are gone a short amount of time, he is good in a kennel. Boogey absolutely laughs in the face of baby gates & exercise pens, those are nothing but agility exercises for him.
Boo has shown measurable progress in potty training. He came from a home where he was trained to use indoor potty pads, and he was reliably trained on those. In foster, his family has really worked hard to get him acclimated to going outside, like the other dogs modeled for him. He is doing well, but again, his training needs time, praise, & consistency.
Boogey is not going to do well in a sedentary home. His family will need to be prepared to spend time doing activities with him & including him in family time. He's also a perfect car rider. If you are ready for a canine buddy to go on adventures & snuggle down at night, Boogey is ready to meet you!
