Meet Ciara – The Elegant, Resilient Lady Ready for a Fresh Start
Ciara is a beautiful and gentle young Chinese Crested who has already faced more challenges than most but she remains a bright and joyful spirit. Rescued from an outdoor breeder, Ciara survived two hurricanes, showing a level of resilience that is nothing short of inspiring. Now on her journey to healing and happiness.
Ciara was diagnosed with heartworm disease because she was not on Heartworm Prevention before. Heartworm is a mosquito-borne disease, but with the right care, it is treatable. She has compled the recommended protocol and is on the road to a healthy future. If you'd like to learn more about heartworm and it's treatment, The American Heartworm Society is an excellent resource. Her spay will be completed at our Broward County vet in March, and she’ll need her forever home to provide love and comfort while we cover her surgery bill.
Affectionate and undeniably joyful, Ciara has a playful side that will melt your heart. She loves to zoom around the yard, her gentle spirit shining through as she plays like a puppy. As a "hairy hairless" Chinese Crested, she has a unique coat that requires regular skin moisturizer—a treat she absolutely adores! Ciara closes her eyes in bliss during her spa treatments, making it clear that she appreciates the pampering she deserves.

This dog's adoption fee is $600 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). *All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps, and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.
