Story
Doyle is a bit of a mystery!  Papillon ears, thick Pomeranian fur, short Corgi legs and a Shepherd's coloring and face.  He weighs 14 pounds and we think he is about 3-5 years old.  Super soft fur. Doyle is very friendly and loves to greet new people!  He is really a happy little boy.  He is good with other dogs, but is very growly if they try to take his toys.  Untested with cats or children so far.   Very athletic and an excellent jumper.   We are bringing him up to date on all his vaccinations and a neuter.  He is working on his housebreaking.  We think it would be easiest for him to be the only dog in the home, though he can certainly learn to coexist with others. We will update as we get to know him better. Applications for Doyle are available at www.chesed-rescue.org.  We background and vet check all applicants and are looking for stable homes.January 28, 2025, 6:30 pm

Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Cam – The Resilient Little Lover Boy Cam’s journey hasn’t been easy, but this 6-month-old Chinese Crested is ready for a fresh start, filled with love and care. Cam began life as an outdoor breeder dog on the west coast of Florida, where he and his family survived not one, but two hurricanes. Despite his rough start, this little guy’s heart is wide open for the right home, and he's eager to grow stronger every day. Cam is learning the ropes of potty training, and he’s already showing progress! Right after mealtime is his prime potty time, and he enjoys having someone by his side to cheer him on and ensure he’s getting it just right. His sense of humor will warm your heart! Thanks to proper nutrition, clean water, and a safe environment, Cam is becoming healthier and stronger. He is currently free from any ailments but will need time to rebuild his body. Cam is a "hairy hairless" Chinese Crested, meaning he has some patches of fur, not completely bald. His skin and coat are already showing signs of improvement! Due to his difficult upbringing outdoors, Cam does have some separation anxiety and thrives when he has space to feel safe and secure. A home where someone is around often would be ideal, not only for his comfort but also to help him with his frequent potty breaks as he continues his training. If you’re ready to welcome a special puppy into your life and have the time, patience, and love to offer, please consider giving Cam the forever home he deserves. He may have had a rough start, but his future is as bright as can be – especially if it’s with you!  This dog's adoption fee is $600 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested please fill out the adoption application For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page.   *All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Ciara – The Elegant, Resilient Lady Ready for a Fresh Start Ciara is a beautiful and gentle young Chinese Crested who has already faced more challenges than most but she remains a bright and joyful spirit. Rescued from an outdoor breeder, Ciara survived two hurricanes, showing a level of resilience that is nothing short of inspiring. Now on her journey to healing and happiness. Ciara was diagnosed with heartworm disease because she was not on Heartworm Prevention before. Heartworm is a mosquito-borne disease, but with the right care, it is treatable. She has compled the recommended protocol and is on the road to a healthy future. If you'd like to learn more about heartworm and it's treatment, The American Heartworm Society is an excellent resource. Her spay will be completed at our Broward County vet in March, and she’ll need her forever home to provide love and comfort while we cover her surgery bill. Affectionate and undeniably joyful, Ciara has a playful side that will melt your heart. She loves to zoom around the yard, her gentle spirit shining through as she plays like a puppy. As a "hairy hairless" Chinese Crested, she has a unique coat that requires regular skin moisturizer—a treat she absolutely adores! Ciara closes her eyes in bliss during her spa treatments, making it clear that she appreciates the pampering she deserves. Ciara is at her full, healthy weight of 11 pounds.
