Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Meet JERRY, a very happy guy who simply gets along with everyone, humans and dogs, big and small.  JERRY is a Papillon mix with a very soft coat to go along with his soft soul.  He is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. This guy was left behind at an apartment complex when his owners moved out and I cannot make any sense of why they did not take him because I have not had any trouble out of him.  He is quiet, crate and potty trained and walks well on a leash.  There is no aggression in him anywhere, he shares his food bowl and his toys with the other dogs. He lives to cuddle with you and at 10 pounds he is easy to pick up and he will not grow any bigger.  You can take him everywhere and expect a well-mannered gentleman at all times. If you are interested in adopting JERRY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you for your interest. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         May 4, 2025, 1:32 pm

Story
Name: Kiwi Nickname: Pee-wee-Kiwi. Nugg. Kiki Little One. Breed: Papillon mix Weight: 5 lbs. Sex: Female Age: 5 years Before OMD/Medical: Kiwi was picked up as a stray and brought into animal control for her stray hold. Her fur was matted and her eye had ruptured at some point, and because she hadn't received medical care at the time, it became infected and she lost her sight in that eye. Her eye was completely crusted and scabbed over and she was in obvious pain (but still so so sweet). We were able to take her into rescue and have her eye removed, as well as remove a mammary mass which, thankfully, came back as benign. Energy Level: Low. She is happy just relaxing in the house and yard mainly, but can also keep up with her foster sibling for mile-long walks. Descriports: Lap dog. Low maintenance. Adaptable. Easy-going. "The sweetest little dog I've ever met" What we love most: How cuddly she is. When she perches atop your shoulders like a parrot. Her tiny-circle zoomies and/or tip tap dancing when you come home. What she loves most: Snuggling up to anyone that emits heat. Blankets (Kiwi without a blanket is not a happy Kiwi). Being held. Treats. The breeze when going for car rides. What she doesn't love: The cold. Random tidbit: She is an incessant licker at times...people, the couch, etc. Kids: She did well with a 4 year old, and we expect she would be fine with dog-savvy, respectful kiddos Dogs: Sure! She is a co-exister with her foster sibling and the others she has met Cats: Yep. Pays them no mind. Housetrained: Getting there. Since she's not a fan at all of the cold, she has been utilizing potty pads at times (and has some accidents not on the pads too). Crate trained: Yes Kiwi is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org
