Story
PATCHES was spayed 11/28/18 at Servicios Medicos Veterinarios, Sonora, Dr. Martin Figueroa DVM.PATCHES has been diagnosed with `Masticatory Muscle Myositis` (also called Eosinophilic Myositis), an autoimmune disorder that causes the muscles in her jaw to freeze up. She currently can open her mouth only about 3/8 inch wide, and is getting a diet of special soft food. This is not surgically treatable. This condition requires long term medical care, and probably cannot be cured. Patches is now on prednisone and antibiotics. UPDATE: ` PATCHES` myositis is currently stable, she is not on medication at this time. She has been on numerous protocols of steroids and antibiotics without significant improvement. If the myositis continues to be stable, she may have a normal life span. If her condition deteriorates she will require additional medical care, including medications, and that could impact her longevity. There is no further cure or surgical procedure available at this time. She has been seen by 4 vet clinics, including the most qualified specialists in Arizona.PATCHES is available for adoption as a Special Needs dog, shown by appointment only to avoid stress of adoption site. (Adoption application in advance required).

Story
Updated Foster Notes: As far as Louis goes - he is not really a small dog. He`s about 30 lbs or more, he`s solid. He`s still somewhat skittish even after the about 2 years that we have had him, but is much better than when we first got him. He`s used to going outside throughout the day through our doggie doors. He sleeps in his own bed, because anything moving under blankets scare him. We don`t do crates.I think that with a person who would dedicate their time to just him, he would be amazing. He is a dog that loves dogs, but people terrify him. He actually socializes our new pups, as he loves to play with other dogs. He doesn`t like children, he will charge, bark and nip at children when they give him their backs. With men he just keeps away from them. He`s beautiful, he is gentle when you hand feed him treats, but he has issues. He needs someone with time, patience and dedicate themselves to him, the person who adopts him shouldn`t have any time restrictions for him to come around. Maybe with just one person and no other dogs around he will come around a little faster. But they will be able to take him to dog parks and know that he will love that interaction.

Story
Santa came early to SAFE Animals! OZZY, who has been patiently waiting in foster care for over a year, is hoping to find his forever home this holiday season. For the month of December, his adoption fee is reduced to just $100. Let’s make his holiday wish come true!OZZY is a high energy, sweet dog. He is affectionate with his foster parents and gets along with other dogs in the foster home, although he may be selective with the dogs he chooses to play with. He is active and uses the doggy door to go in and out and likes to snuggle under the sheets when ready to rest. Since he is part Chinese Crested it would be best if a potential adopter is familiar with the special needs of a hairless breed. **Ozzy can be selective with people as well and would do best in a home without children under 12yrs.**
