You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi there! My name is Ashwell, and I'm a 10-month-old female Norwich Terrier weighing 8 pounds. I'm still very much a puppy, which means I love to chew on things and really enjoy my toys. I'm very playful with the other dogs in the house and even try to play with the cat. I'm a bit timid initially but very curious. When I meet new people, I approach them cautiously while frantically wagging my tail. I've done okay away from home on the few occasions we have gone to baseball games. I get a little nervous and seem unsure of what to do, but with guidance from my favorite person, I know I'll learn to appreciate new spaces. One thing to note is that I get carsick, which leads to excessive drooling and sometimes vomiting. Embarrassing – but I can’t help it. I love all toys, especially small kongs, rubber toys, rope toys, and soft plush toys. I'm also quite the foodie and love mealtimes and treats. I'm not fully potty trained yet, but I'm really close when kept on a good schedule. I don't like to be kenneled, but I don't make a fuss when I'm in there. I sleep well through the night but do need to go out to potty before bedtime so I don’t have accidents in my kennel. I don't need a fenced yard as I'm working on leash training. I don't need to be placed in a home with another dog as long as the humans are home most of the time. We are working on kennel training, but it isn’t my favorite place. Sometimes I will bark and howl in my kennel when I know you're home and I want to come out. There are cats in my foster home and I really want to play with them. Sometimes I'm too friendly with cats and have been hissed at a few times, but it doesn't deter me. I'm not much more than an annoyance to the resident cat. If there is a cat in my forever home, be sure it is dog savvy. While I love having other dogs to play with and learn from, I would do fine as an only dog if I'm not left alone in my kennel or home alone too much. If there's another dog in the family or neighborhood that I could have playdates with, I would love that. Really, I would thrive with another dog and gain confidence and help me get on a routine. I'm a happy little girl who's never stingy with tail wags! Just waiting here to meet you! *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Devlyn!  I came here from Arkansas to begin my new life in a loving home.  I'm a sweet submissive lady who's pretty chill.  My favorite thing in the world?  Sitting next to my person while getting ear scratches and cuddles!  I'm working a bit on my confidence right now, but I want to be wherever my person is.  My gently wagging tail let's you know that I just want to be your friend too.  I do well with my doggie friends, but I'd be fine if it was just us too.  I wouldn't complain if I was your spoiled princess!  I'm kennel trained, doing awesome at potty training too.  I'm scared of the leash right now so I would like a fenced area to do my business.  I can't wait to meet you and I'm betting you won't be able to resist my cute teefers and beautiful eyes! Story
Hi, I'm Toby but you may as well call me Toblerone because I'm as sweet as can be! I'm pug shaped with a long wiry coat, and don't let my grumpy expression foul you, I'm a very nice boy.  Yes, I only have one eye. My lack of an eye doesn't bother me much. Occasionally I will bump into my foster mom or furniture, but it doesn't slow me down! I jump on furniture and go up and down stairs with ease.  I am a lap dog through and through. My favorite activities are snuggling and lots of belly rubs. I love my foster family and am very affectionate with them. I sometimes bark at people who are strange to me but once I know they are friends I warm up to them. I’m a little terrier guy so I do bark at the fence and strange noises (including thunder). I’m not an excessive barker though! However, I have a variety of gruffs and snorts that I like to express myself with. I am not loud, but I should warn you that I do snore very loudly but my foster family finds it very endearing.  I live with two small dogs and have been around medium sized dogs. I don't play with other dogs much but I am comfortable around them. I have begun showing interest in toys and I play very gently with them. I am not a “destroyer” and have not had any issues with chewing. I haven't met a cat up close but I do bark at a neighborhood outside cat. I haven't experienced many children but due to my small size, it would be best that I was in a home with children who can respect that I am not a toy.  I've been working on basic training and I'm decent at "sit." Every walk I get better on the leash but I do have a tendency to pull because I get very excited! I have worked hard on my potty training and I have started asking to go out when I need to potty. I have a tendency to mark in new places but with a consistent schedule and a little patience I do great!  I relax comfortably in my crate or in a car seat when riding in the car. I stay in my crate when my foster family leaves but typically not for more than 4 hours at a time. I don’t like the crate very much but I protest for about 5-10 min. I hate sleeping in the crate so I sleep all night in my foster mom's bed. I do not have any overnight accidents. You could say I'm a bit of an old soul trapped in a young spry body. It may just be that I look like and snore like a grumpy old man. But, I have a lot of love to give, and I can't wait to meet my family!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 5, 2024, 3:09 pm
