Meet Junior, a sweet and spirited senior terrier with a heart as big as his love for companionship! Don’t let his age fool you—this little guy still has plenty of pep in his step and is always ready for an adventure, especially if it means staying close to his favorite person. Whether he’s following you from room to room or snuggling up for some well-earned cuddles, Junior’s happiest when he’s by your side.
Life hasn’t always been easy for Junior, but he’s a fighter. After suddenly losing mobility in his back legs, he was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). With the right care and a lot of heart, he made an incredible recovery—and today, he’s back to running, jumping, and living life to the fullest! To keep him feeling his best, he takes an inexpensive daily chewable anti-inflammatory medication, which he happily gobbles up with his meals. The cost of which is under $20/month.
Junior is fantastic with cats and friendly toward other dogs, though his excitement sometimes makes it tricky for him to read social cues. He’d do best with patient canine companions or as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention.
If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who’s overcome the odds and is ready to fill your days with joy, Junior is your guy! Could he be the perfect match for you?
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
