Story
Admiral Bongos and his sister, Colonel Popcorn, were found on the street as kittens in RVA. They're so close it's hard to tell them apart sometimes. Bongos is much bolder than his sister and likes hanging out with dog friends and being part of the neighborhood watch. Bongos is a fan of rough pets, he would like you to pet him now! He will brace himself (like he might run away, but he has no plans on leaving so long as you keep petting), because he would like to be pet all over and with much vigor. He may want a bite of what you’re eating. Salty chips? Eggs? Tuna salad? Rotisserie chicken? Buttered toast? He puts his paw on your shoulder politely to let you know he’d like a bite. Unfortunately if you give Bongos a bite, he will simply ask for more. If you’re watching tv you may find him sitting next to you and gently pawing you, mimicking petting you, to let you know he would like some pets.

Story
Colonel Popcorn and her brother, Admiral Bongos, were found on the street as kittens in RVA. They're so close it's hard to tell them apart sometimes. Popcorn’s favorite time of the day is when the house is quiet and she can find a spot at eye level to a human where she can get pets. Her “PET-estal” if you will. She likes things to be quiet and calm. She loves having a nice sheltered window perch to watch nature. Squirrels and birds on TV are fun, too. When she's unsure about things, she’s good at finding a place to be that’s out of the way. She thinks dogs should be in another room. Unfortunately, because of her weeks on the street, she developed tooth problems and has had several teeth removed (she feels much better now that that’s done!). Her brother is jealous of all the soft food she gets to eat. It’s not a problem because she gets her dinner in her own bin that only she can get into. That keeps her brother and any other pets around from eating her dinner before she gets hungry.

Story
Meet Stella R. Tois aka "Stella," Jenna C. Brew, and Jennings - 3 one -year-old sisters who are looking for a home. These 3 girls have been with us since they were little kittens, about 8 weeks old. They were found in the parking lot of the brewery in downtown Culpeper.Stella is the braver of the 3 sisters and enjoys being pet, once she gets to know you, on her terms Usually while eating). Jenna C. and Jennings (like twins!) are very shy but submissive. When they need vetted, it isn't difficult to pick them up and place them in a carrier - again, once they are comfortable with you. These girls are not barn cat material. They cannot defend themselves and are not street smart. They are, what we refer to as Violets - or shrinking violets. Stella, Jenna, and Jennings need a patient, quiet, loving home where they will be loved for who they are and their new person or family will be patient until they come out of their shell and learn to trust. They are litter box trained, but at times can knock the litter out or knock the box over. Easily fixed. They are not aggressive. They do not claw furniture and would love a large climber in front of a sunny window. Because they are not lap cats, they have lived a year in foster care and are yearning for their new home.Won't you please open your heart to them? Their perfect home would be a quiet, low activity home with either no children or children over the age of 14. Adoption fee - adopt 1 get 2 free. They just need a good, loving home.
