Story
Meet Winston! He's a 14 years young Norwegian Forest Cat Mix. He made his way into our rescue due to no fault of his own. His owner had some health concerns and unfortunately could not care for our sweet boy. Winston has heart disease (HCM) and has two medication that he takes daily. He has had an echo ultrasound and we're confident that his medications will allow him to live out his years in bliss. You would never know that Winston is a senior, he still has plenty of energy and he LOVES to play with a laser toy. He also enjoys following his humans and meowing for affection and looking out the window admiring the birds. He's so so sweet and gives an immediate purr purr purr. We don't know how he is with other cats and dogs, but with a slow introduction we think he would adjust fine. You know you want this sweet senior in your life.Adoption fee of $90 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: http://2pawsup.org/2pawsup_wp/forms/adoption-form/February 22, 2025, 11:43 am

Story
Are you searching for the gentle, majestic Norwegian Forrest kitty that can be your special friend? You and I may want to get together and see if we are a good match! My name is Meme. I like to take life slow. If you are looking for a kitty to sit next to you to keep you company (when I am comfortable, in your lap). I am your gal. I bond heavily with one or two people that will be my go-to's. I have very soft orange, fluffy fur and huge gentle eyes, Norwegian mixed breed, larger gal. I enjoy being brushed, and will chirp at you and stretch so you don't forget some spots. I will call out to you to see where you are. I do not have a plume tail like most long-haired beauties. I had a badly injured tail when I was a kitten found outside. I have a bobtail as a result of that injury. I am a senior, large kitty with many years ahead of me to share my love with you. I am 10 years old. I can easily live another 10 years. I just had a full check up, and have a clean bill of health.

These pups are in Cary, North Carolina too!

Story
Do you want to be admired but not have people be all handsy/huggy with you? Me too!!! I am a gorgeous boy who has had a bit of a rough life and that has led me to be suspicious of some people (especially men). I have tried meditating but found that setting boundaries (3 pets on the head and not 4; snuggles only when authorized) is the best way to go. My person who gave me all the love in all the right doses passed away and now I am looking for that purrfect person who understands that I just like company and to be near you and like to be the one making the first move for attention. I am gorgeous, fluffy, entertaining and low energy. I am an easy boy to have around. I do have allergies to dust and such and as such may sneeze some artsy designs upon occasion but it doesn't slow me down and I don't mind if you don't. I was overlooked by people before my last mom because I am FIV+. What does that mean? Not a lot. It is mostly a label. People say that if I get sick I should go to the vet but that is pretty much what you would do with any cat. So if you care about what it means then you can find out more at https://fivcats.com/. I live with other cats and do fine. I just like a nice window, soft bed and person to snuggle next to. And I love my picture taken. If my handsome face makes you smile, then consider letting me make you smile every day and make me part of your family.  If you are interested in adopting Humphrey, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60-75 miles of the Raligh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
Meet our literary family - Agnes Grey and Branwell and their children Bronte and Jane Eyre. Their story begins dramatically with their being left in a tote container on a person's porch. The kind person took the cats in, but then was targeted for eviction for trying to help the cats. She reached out to rescue and we were able to take this little family in. Branwell and his family are all incredibly polite and sweet to other cats. They see all animals as pals. New environments can be a little scary at first so they will need a kind, gentle, quiet soul who will give them a little time to settle in. They blossom quickly and love attention. They trill and twine around your legs looking for love with the cuteness you would expect from Disney created cats - they seem too cute and sweet to be real. They would love to be adopted in pairs but will be a wonderful addition to any home that is peaceful and patient.   If you are interested in adopting Branwell, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Approx DOB 08/21/2023 Adoption fee is $110.00 ##2309190##
