Story
Meet Fluffy Marshmallow, this gorgeous Norwegian Forest cat mix came to us frightened and lonely after being separated from his closest feline companion. He was quite depressed at the Milo adoption center and is now receiving extra TLC in a foster home. Though Fluffy Marshmallow is still a bit nervous and takes time to warm up, he's making progress. He needs an experienced adopter who can offer patience and understanding as he adjusts to a new home. Despite his shyness, he adores belly rubs, cheek rubs, and gentle brushing sessions. Though he is affectionate, he prefers it on his terms. He also enjoys playtime and has a mellow demeanor overall. Fluffy gets along well with other cats and dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. He would prefer an adult-only home or one with gentle older children. If you're interested in meeting this sweet boy, please fill out an adoption application and arrange a meet-and-greet!

Story
Meet Iris, a beautiful 11-year-old ragdoll mix. She loves to cuddle and is extremely friendly and loving, even with strangers. Her current family has had guests say she is more like a dog than a cat in that regard! Her favorite time of the day is TV time on the sofa with her humans. She has never tried to scratch anyone and loves her many scratching posts around the house. She is still on a weight loss journey (aren’t we all?), but has lost 3 pounds with about 3 more to go! She is currently sporting a lion’s cut for the summer, but when her fur is all grown out, it is long and lush. She also loves to play and will go crazy for cat wand toys. Iris will do well in a home without other cats, as she does not play well with either of the resident cats in her current home, despite their slow introductions. They think she will do well with little kids, although they have never tested it. They also haven’t seen Iris around dogs, but they would not recommend a home with dogs given how she is around cats. Besides watching her weight, Iris does not have any special needs. She is one perrrrfect girl! To learn more about this cutie, reach out to Debbie at 415-548-0824 or email adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org. This cat is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
