Story
Rambo is what we call a gentle giant! He is house trained and is great with kids. We have a newborn that he is extremely gentle and caring with. He is also very good with new people that come to our home. He is up-to-date on all of his vaccines, however the vet shared he could get another rabies shot since it has been a year since his last one. He is not fixed yet as we were told by the vet to wait until he’s 2 years old due to his breed. He still needs some training in learning how to come when asked, not jumping on us when we get home (his way of saying hello sometimes), and leaving food that is not his. Because he is a LGD, he needs a job. Jobs could be watching chickens, farm animals, etc. Due to having a baby and smaller yard, we cannot provide the job he needs. We are also very allergic to him. :( We believe he would thrive at an home with chickens or livestock he can guard and watch over. Overall, he is a caring, loyal, and great dog!

Thoroughly read through the OUR PROCESS tab4. then fill out an online application from your laptop or desktop computer or click on the mobile friendly link on the application page. **All adopters are required to sign up for and complete the age appropriate Method K9 online training course. __________________________________________________________________________________ Bernie is a 1.5 year old male Great Pyrenees mix.   He is a confident male and needs adopters who are able to be his leader and advocate.  He is protective of his surroundings and is a great guard dog. He loves the water, loves being outside, does great in his crate and is learning basic manners while in foster at the refuge.   He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If you are interested in Bernie: ** You MUST be active and live an active lifestyle. **You MUST be committed to crate training and setting clear boundaries and expectations to ensure his mental & physical needs are met daily and he grows up to be a well balanced adult.  **You MUST enroll in and complete the @methodk9 Basic Foundation program (we are able to offer a 50% discount for our approved adopters) ##1747318##
