If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Pup Yogi (YOG0225ALAMD)Estimated Breed:  Newfoundland / Lab mix Approximate Age: 4 months    Approximate Weight:  35 LBS  Currently Living at:  Foster  Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Look at that face!  Yogi (the bear) is very shy but has been opening up!  He is in a foster home with 10 pups which helps with his confidence.  He would love a home with another pup to continue to show him that the world is not a bad place!  At this time, young children will not be a good fit for him. If you are looking for a furry "bear cub" and have another dog to help Yogi continue to thrive, please submit an application.  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
Hello there! My name is Rocket, and I'm looking for a new family to call my own. I’m a gentle giant with a heart as big as my paws. I might be a bit on the bigger side, but don’t let that fool you—I’m all about kindness and love. I’m patient, calm, and always up for a good cuddle, especially after a fun day of playing. I absolutely adore people, and I can’t get enough of their attention! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves hanging out with you, I’m your guy. Kids? I’m great with them too! I’m very gentle and easygoing, so I make a wonderful buddy for little ones who need a big friend. I get along with cats, so if you have one, I’m sure we’ll be just fine. However, I can be a little unsure around other dogs. I’m not the most confident in those situations, but I’m still trying to figure it out. With a little patience and understanding, I’m sure I’ll warm up to new furry friends. So, if you’re for a sweet, and playful dog who loves people (and cats!), I’d love to meet you!

Story
Hotchner is just a normal dog—fluffy, black, and always wagging his tail. But to him, every day is an adventure. One afternoon, Hotchner followed a strange scent to a small hole in the fence. A tiny striped tail flicked through—A Dog! Hotchner wagged his tail, hoping to make a new friend, but the Dog chittered and scurried away. Undeterred, Hotchner continued exploring. He found a long-lost tennis ball, chased a butterfly (which was much too fast), and rolled happily in the grass. By dinner, Hotchner had completed his great backyard quest. He hadn’t saved the world or solved a mystery, but he had explored, sniffed, and enjoyed the day. Curled up in bed that night, his tail gave one last happy wag. Tomorrow, another adventure awaited—because even a normal dog like Hotchner knew that every day held something exciting.
