Story
My family originally saved Ammo from being euthanized at a pound he was dropped off at after his original owners gave him up due to him being bigger than they anticipated. He has lived with us for the past 6 years and is great with kids. My son was a baby when we first got him and Ammo loved laying with him and playing with him outside as he got older. Ammo loves short walks and loves to be loved on; He will be your best couch mate! Ammo does not do well with cats. He has some dog aggression so it would be best if he was in an only pet household but is incredibly sweet and all of his great features will flourish in the right home. Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any questions!

Story
Obi is a two-year-old, 66 lbs Newfoundland Dog mix who was surrendered to a city shelter through no fault of his own. Luckily, his Legacy Humane foster stepped up to take him into their home and he's now living the good life until adopted!   Obi is super smart and walks well on a leash. He knows sit, shake and stay, and is learning to play fetch.  While he's great with medium and large dogs who are active and love to play, Obi shouldn't be in a home with small dogs, cats or children (teens are ok).  He's just a happy, rough and tumble guy who may accidentally injure more fragile ones.    He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply for him here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/   Adoption process includes application, screening, meet and greet, and adoption with five-day trial period.   We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Hi! I'm Obi! I am a 2 year old male Newfoundland/Lab mix that weighs approx. 66 lbs. I was surrendered due to my previous family no longer being able to care for me. I am good with other dogs but a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption if you have another dog in the home. I love the company of a furry friend! I'm a bouncy boy and am currently working on learning fetch. I walk pretty well on a leash and am willing to learn basic commands. I would do best in an adult only home or one with children who are older than 16 years old. I have been searching for my furr ever home for over 90 days and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and am heartworm negative. Since I am in foster, meet and greets will be by approved application only. Please complete an online adoption application on our website at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. November 1, 2024, 7:56 pm
