My family originally saved Ammo from being euthanized at a pound he was dropped off at after his original owners gave him up due to him being bigger than they anticipated. He has lived with us for the past 6 years and is great with kids. My son was a baby when we first got him and Ammo loved laying with him and playing with him outside as he got older. Ammo loves short walks and loves to be loved on; He will be your best couch mate! Ammo does not do well with cats. He has some dog aggression so it would be best if he was in an only pet household but is incredibly sweet and all of his great features will flourish in the right home. Story
Prada is a Border Newfie. She wandered up our driveway as an 8 week old puppy. She had parvo. We nursed her back to health. She is the sweetest dog I have ever had the privilege of keeping. She loves all animals and thinks any baby is hers. She wouldn't hurt a fly. She is the epitome of a gentle giant. She is now 2 and 1/2 yrs old.

Hi, I’m Moon. They say I’m a 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, but honestly, I feel much older than that. Life hasn’t exactly been gentle with me. For as long as I can remember, it’s just been me, Bennett – my baby’s dad – and the endless streets. I gave birth to my little one, Alex, all alone out there. We didn’t have a safe place to rest or warm hands to care for us. It was just me, trying my best to keep us alive and safe. The kind folks at Second Chance Dog Rescue found me after someone saw me and Bennett roaming around. A partner of theirs trapped me and brought me to safety, but it’s hard to let go of the fear and hurt. The past has left its mark, and every human hand feels like a question: Will they hurt me, too? I’m trying, though. The volunteers here are patient, letting me come to them on my own terms. I want to trust them, but my heart needs time. I’m a good mom, a gentle soul, and, despite my past, I know deep down I still have love to give. I like being able to see Bennett here; it’s a small comfort. I even enjoy the company of other dogs, as long as they respect my space and understand that trust doesn’t come easy for me. Every day, I’m learning that maybe – just maybe – there’s a future out there with a kind family who won’t let me down. Until then, I’m holding on, one soft touch and gentle word at a time. This sweet baby was found a couple months ago roaming the streets in Mansfield, TX with his sister and they were sleeping under cars in a mobile home park. Was not chipped and we were never able to find an owner or someone missing their pets. We were able to rescue both to get good baths, get on flea preventative and now they are ready to find their Fur-Ever home!! Him and his sister are both available but they can also be split up. I dont know his exact age but id guess under 1 and needs a home with land to run and play. Both do great with other dogs, horses, cows and cats, but not Chickens. He is not leash-trained which leads me to believe he has always been an outside dog. He loves to roam around so a secure fenced area is a must, loves to get in the pond and pays no mind to the cows and horses on the property currently. He is the sweetest giant you will ever meet and I hope you can consider him to be a forever part of your family!!
