Story
I am in immediate need to rehome one of our dogs. He is about 6 years old and a German shepherd/anatolian mix. My husband and I found him 5 years ago. It was clear that he had been dumped and suffered social problems because of it. He is very snuggly and loving with us and our two other dogs, but he does not let other people touch him. When stressed, he backs up, does a low growl, shows teeth, and moves away from contact. He has so much fear 😞 We did extensive training with him and learned his cues, and we’ve been successful up to this point providing a home where he’s free from anxiety inducing scenarios. However, we introduced a baby to the family last November. We’ve been extremely cautious with boundaries, but an incident occurred today where he snapped at her. Nanny and baby are safe, but this is no longer the right home for him. We are desperately seeking an understanding, patient, and experience owner with no children in the home.
