Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! Story
Meet Autumn! She is one of six young Great Pyrenees mix puppies who found themselves homeless—until Miss Kayla came to their rescue. She loaded up her truck and whisked the pups away to safety. Unsure of what awaited them, the puppies were overjoyed to discover they were headed to a beautiful farm, where they will stay with Miss Kayla until their forever families find them. The puppies have plenty of space to run and play, enjoying daily exercise as they race to the pond. On warm days, you’ll often find several of them taking a joyful dip—white dogs and muddy water make for lots of fun! Autumn and her siblings are exceptionally smart. They’ve already mastered sit, stay, roll over, and give paw, and they’re always eager to learn new tricks. All of the puppies are kennel trained and making excellent progress with potty training. Each one knows exactly which kennel is theirs for mealtime and bedtime—impressive for such young pups!   You won’t find a more loving litter of puppies. They nap and play together all day, forming strong bonds with each other. While they don’t need to be adopted as a group, these social butterflies will thrive best in homes with another dog for companionship. If you’re looking to welcome a BIG boy or girl into your family, one of these pups could be the perfect fit. They will be spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and microchipped before adoption. Puppies are required to receive three vaccines at three-week intervals, and they’ll be ready to travel to their forever homes on April 3.   To be considered as a forever family and to request an application, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311. An approved application and adoption fee are required. (These wonderful pups are located in Tennessee and can be transported north on April 3.)March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Meet Golden Baron—a 110-pound gentle giant with the heart of a teddy bear and the presence of a lion. This 5-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix is as stunning as he is soulful, blending the loyal sweetness of a Golden with the calm, steady nature of a Pyrenees.   Baron recently lost his beloved human dad, and his whole world changed overnight. He was deeply loved and lived a pampered life, and you can see that in everything he does—his manners are impeccable, he’s perfectly house-trained, and he treats a home with the utmost respect. No chewing, no chaos…just quiet companionship and loyalty.   Despite his size, Baron is incredibly gentle. He loves children, does wonderfully with other dogs (especially those closer to his size), and has a calm, easygoing presence that makes everyone around him feel at ease. He’s the kind of dog who just gets it—happy to relax by your side but always ready for an adventure.   And speaking of adventures…Baron loves car rides. Whether it’s a quick errand or a weekend outing, he’s your perfect co-pilot. Be prepared though—this boy turns heads everywhere he goes. People can’t resist stopping to admire his gorgeous coat and give him a well-deserved scratch behind those fluffy ears.   A fenced yard would be a dream for Baron, giving him space to stretch out, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the simple things he loves.   If you’ve been searching for that once-in-a-lifetime dog—the one who is equal parts beauty, heart, and soul—Golden Baron just might be your guy.   To give this incredible boy the loving home he deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 8, 2026, 6:01 pm
