Story
Tiger is a majestic one-year old male Great Pyrenees who was surrendered by his owner on March 7, 2025. This handsome guy has a white medium-haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and a classic Great Pyrenees face with dark brown eyes, a long muzzle, and short floppy ears. His owner advised that Tiger is good with children but that he is not good with cats or other dogs. Tiger is housetrained. Tiger is understandably fearful/frightened being in an unfamiliar place with so many other dogs nearby and people that he does not yet realize are his new best friends. These photos were taken later in the afternoon on March 7th after Tiger had been left in our care, and he was in an outdoor kennel. In spite of being a bit nervous, Tiger seemed to want to be near our photographer who kept 'circling' his kennel in an attempt to get far enough away to take his pictures .. But as soon as she was on one side of the kennel, Tiger meandered over to put his nose close to the fencing. Tiger quietly looked at her (and the camera lens) with sad eyes and did not utter the slightest whimper, growl, or bark. Tiger weighs 74 lbs. Tiger is looking for a loving home with an experienced adopter who is familiar with the Great Pyrenees breed. Tiger will be neutered before being adopted by his new family.
