Story
Milan came to the shelter with a litter of pups back in August, and while her kiddos have all been adopted she has recovered, she is still looking for her own forever family! Milan is as special as she is beautiful, and she`s looking for that unicorn adopter. We`re not sure if it`s Great Pyrenees or Anatolian, but this gal has definitely got a livestock guardian breed in her. This means that she`s best suited for a home with room to roam! That being said, Milan is now accustomed to having dog door access and spending a lot of time on her foster’s bed or curled up on the couch, so she wants to be a home dog where she can get TLC, be spoiled, and have some people or dog buddies. She is fully house-trained. In foster, Milan puts a lot of trust in her person once she bonds. She`s a smart girl with an independent personality, and she`ll thrive in an environment that nurtures her instincts. While she can easily jump a 5 (and sometimes 6) ft fence, she doesn’t leave her foster’s property because they are bonded. In a new home, she will need to build that relationship before being given too much freedom. A GPS collar and/or higher fence is strongly encouraged to keep her safe.

Story
June is a gorgeous mama, whose past, though we can`t know it, has made her wary of her environment. Brought in along with sixteen other dogs- many of whom were her puppies- in a horse trailer, June, likely so hungry, was willing to take any food offered, but didn`t want to be touched. Still, she seemed to want to trust, and with time and patience, she`s begun to open up. She loves head and body rubs- as well as cheese and turkey, but she`s still got a ways to go. June is looking for a patient and loving adopter who will give her as much time and TLC as she needs to get comfortable and thrive.
