Story
Meet Willow, a quiet, intelligent, and highly selective 5-year-old companion looking for a patient and understanding home. Willow is the definition of a loyal dog who truly chooses her owner. She is remarkably calm and well-behaved indoors (fully potty-trained and kennel-trained), but she thrives on outdoor adventures. One of her unique traits is that she is a silent partner—she is unable to bark or howl. Patience is Key: Due to a past traumatic accident, Willow approaches new people with caution. She is protective of her space and needs time to assess her surroundings. For successful introductions, we strictly follow her lead: adopters must wait for Willow to come to them first. What She Needs in a Home is Experienced Dog Lovers: Must understand dog behavior and emotional needs. We are looking for a family willing to dedicate the time and patience required to help her adapt, regain full trust, and truly thrive. Her love is earned, and once it is, it is fiercely protective and devoted.

Story
Ollie is a big, sweet guy. He'd really like to be part of a family again. At seven years old and 100+ pounds, Ollie isn't going to dash out your front door or try to run away, but he does enjoy car rides and hanging out with his people. He's good at being left alone inside while you're gone, too. Ollie is very respectful of his humans' things, and he isn't destructive. He knows to do his business outside, of course. If you'll allow it, Ollie sure would like to nap on the sofa every now and then. For the last 6.5 years of his life, Ollie lived indoors with his family, but now he's been sent to live outdoors on a farm. He's lonely, and it's cold out there. (Even though Ollie is part Great Pyrenees, he is absolutely not a livestock guardian dog; he has no training for that and has never done that type of work before.) Ollie is a house dog, a family dog, an indoor dog. Can you give Ollie the loving home he deserves? Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 to find out more about him. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.
