Story
Aspen is a cute pup who just wants to please :) She's curious, playful, inquisitive but most importantly gentle. She's 8 months old. Aspen is supposedly a purebred Newfie, so she's expected to continue growing. She's not the breed standard when it comes to her age versus weight, but she's perfect as far as we're concerned. She arrived 10/18 and will undergo foster evaluation for two weeks before she's ready for adoption, so go ahead and get your application in now at this link: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd VERY IMPORTANT: RESTRICTED ADOPTION RADIUS: She's not adoptable outside a maximum radius of 45 miles from zip code 20906

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application LOCATED IN FINKSBURG, MD HEADLINER: Sweet Sassy the Newfie. HISTORY: Sassy came from Kentucky to Maryland on 10/19. She was a tad underweight but has a great appetite and has been putting back on some weight. She was reported to be 2 years old at the shelter she was turned into. PERSONALITY: Sassy is a sweet Newfie who wants to be loved. She seeks snuggles and pets from her foster parents and wants to be near them. She enjoys romping around her yard and laying in the sunshine but also enjoys snoozing on the couch or on a dog bed. She has short spurts of playful energy followed by long naps. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: walking around the yard, laying in the grass, snoozing on the couch, following people around the house and the yard, snuggling, eating treats and meals, dreaming of her forever home. MEDICAL ISSUES: recovering from hook worm. She completed the first round of medication and will complete one more in a couple of weeks. She was spayed on 10/18/24. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Sassy has been hot and cold with her foster brother. She can be temperamental around him and wants to assert her dominance. To be clear, there has been no aggression, but she has been very dominant around him. She would be best in a home with a submissive dog or no other dogs. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Again, Sassy is so, so sweet! She is always looking to be pet and loved on. She is low maintenance energy-wise and is fine just taking a stroll around the yard and plopping down or coming back inside. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. We will not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown. Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm
