Story
Hi, I’m Smokey. I love long walks and back rubs but am slow to trust strangers and new situations are a bit scary. I know how to sit and paw, fully house trained and up to date on vaccines. Currently I live with an 12 and 4 year old however I would do best with no little humans around as their quickness and unpredictability is a lot for me at times. I live in a house with another dog and am fine, but I don’t care much about him and would prefer to have all your love to myself. I love summer time and will grin all day long if I find some warmth and sun to lay in. I will even find any ray of light through any window and just sit in it all day. I used to love swimming before moving here where all the rivers are so cold. Just looking for a home that’s calmer where we can be outside a much as possible.

Story
Sky is a loyal cuddle-bug, around 8 years old. He was Adopted from Ginger’s Pet Rescue in 2018. He’s been well loved and cherished by myself and my family since then. He responds well to basic commands like “sit”, “stay”, and “leave it”, especially when treat motivated. He’s a great lap dog and wants to be by your side 24/7. He loves to play and is great with kids. He is non-aggressive. Sky would do best with someone looking for a loyal companion who is home often, enjoys walks, and doesn’t have other pets. He wants, and deserves, oodles of attention and affection.

Story
We got Luke, who is now 8, from an amazing program at Benton Franklin Humane Society when he was a puppy. His mom was a rescue and when she was rescued she was pregnant. So he and his siblings were born in the shelter. He came home when he was 5 months old. He potty and crate trained and loves to be pet. He’s an absolute lover of humans of all ages. For the past 5 months he has been aggressive towards his younger (but much larger brother). Small things set him off and it’s not safe. You may wonder why we can’t rehome his brother, his breed is much more difficult to rehome. We’ve tried many things and now know Luke may need another home where he can be the only dog and give lots of love to his human/humans. He loves walks, chasing balls and being pet. He thinks he’s a lap dog!!

Story
Nadia really is a very sweet girl, if I had more time and patience I wouldn't be looking to rehome her. I got her from my brother who couldn't handle her pottying inside and when I first brought her in she had an accident inside the first night and then went outside to potty for the first month before she reverted back to going potty inside. She can be a little sneaky with food and can jump high and is very capable of getting on the counter. She is really good with my 4 small kids, cats and chickens. She does like to chew things but she also knows if you put a box with dog toys in it, that, that is for her. Other things she likes to chew up is nasty stuff, like poop diapers or used menstrual products. Nadia also has a bit of separation anxiety and does not like being left home alone, but loves car rides. After I got Nadia from my brother I noticed she does this thing where if you're upset she will show her belly which I believe may have been from abuse.

Story
We adopted Grover, a rescue from Texas, in 2020 and he has been a cherished part of our family. He’s a sweet, cuddly, and incredibly smart dog who loves snuggles and playing with his favorite toys. Grover struggles with anxiety and resource guarding, making him unsuitable for a home with other animals or small children. Now that we have a mobile toddler, we feel we can’t safely meet his needs. We are heartbroken to let him go but are hopeful to find him a quiet, loving home with experienced owners who can provide the support he needs to thrive. If you think you might be the right fit, please reach out—we’d love to share more about him.

Story
Meet Monty! Monty is a resilient pup with a heart full of love, despite a tough start to life. At just 12 weeks old, he was found abandoned and pepper-sprayed, leaving him with some vision issues. Monty loves to play with other dogs but can be a bit much for older, senior dogs. He’s not suited for homes with cats but thrives in a home with a securely fenced yard. Monty needs an owner with the time and patience to give him extra training. He communicates using his mouth, which can improve with guidance. Currently in a foster home with five other dogs, Monty isn’t getting the individual attention he deserves. He’s house-trained, kennel-trained, and will let you know when he needs to go out by barking or whining. Monty is ready to blossom in a home where he can be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Monty is your guy!
