Luna is almost 6 years old. She is potty trained and crate trained. Does fine inside for extended periods of time with no accidents. Does great on a leash. She is amazing with women and children of all ages. Tends to bark when new men are present but warms ups within a few minutes. Total coach potato that loves snuggles.

Story
My wife and came across a malnourished pup at our park back in September. We attempted to find owners, no luck. We took the pup home to nurse her back to health with the intent of keeping her if nobody came to claim. We took her to the vet and got her vaccinated and checked for microchip, nothing. She was now healthy and full of energy. At this point, we prepared to keep her so we named her Queso. However, our biggest problem was that we have 2 dobermen and they were having a hard time adjusting. We spent these last 4 months trying all kinds of training to get them to tolerate each other. Unfortunately, our dobeys have remained defensive and hostile towards Queso. While Queso has done great and just wants to play with them. Due to these interactions, we have to juggle them with kennels/gates. This is causing a lot of stress for all of them and hindering their freedom as they are all kenneled way more than they should. It would be best if Queso had a home she could be herself in.

Mutt Chihuahua

Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained,
Story
maia ran up to me in my apartment complex parking lot like she'd known me her whole life. after trying to find her people (fb posts, chip scan, calling shelters, etc) and no one came forward i decided to care for her as long as i could. i wanted to be her forever home but she just isn't a good fit for my lifestyle and she deserves a home where she fits. maia is very high energy as well as a runner and an escape artist (it wouldn't surprise me if she has husky genes) and will need either extensive call back training or to be kept in a secure yard with a tall fence. she is small but is not suited to apartment life unless she is allowed outside to run a few times a day. she's a lovebug and has never met another living being she didn't immediately decide is her bestie. she is probably too rough a playmate for most cats or small children but she just wants to play. she's one of the smartest dogs i've ever seen and while she quietly vocalizes i don't think i've ever heard her bark.

Story
I found Luther on a freezing day outside of Philip’s College, right after the MLK March. He walked right up to me with his tail wagging. He’s was a little shy at first but has really opened up over the last couple weeks. He loves hugs and pets and will bring you all his toys. He is really great with other dogs. I have two tiny little dogs and he plays with them so gently. He is potty trained and can hold it for 8 hours. He is working on leash walking. He gets really excited with a leash and wants to jump up and down but we are working on that. He loves chewing on bones. He was from the humane society but someone adopted him and dumped him 🥺He’s the sweetest boy and really well behaved. I don’t have capacity for 3 dogs, otherwise I would keep him.
