Story
NAME: Blythe Sex: male Color/Pattern: black and white tuxedo Breed: Terrier mix Weight: ~15-20 lbs Age at intake: ~4-5 months BDAY approx: ~ Sept 11, 2024 Intake date : Jan 11, 2025 Found date: Jan 9 Coat length: very short Description BLYTHE is a sleek and shiny, black and white boo boo with Dumbo ears. He is responsive, yet quiet, only reacting when spoken to. Personality This little guy we named Blythe, was very quiet and submissive the first few days in his foster home. He gets wiggly and excited when you pay him affection. Blythe is a sweetie, submissive and obedient. He likes to hang out in his crate with the door open where he feels safe to watch from there. He became very playful once he felt more confident in his new digs after a few days. He loves going outside and doesn't mind the weather no matter what it is. He picks up on commands quickly and learns from other dogs' examples. He was already doing well with potty training and socializing within 1 week of picking him up off the street. This puppy is an easy boy who loves being loved, and is low maintenance, but high reward in reciprocating affection. Background Blythe was probably only about 4 months old when found abandoned at a long term stay hotel along 290 in Houston the 2nd week of January 2025. Management had called animal control but no one came to get him. It was cold and he was skin and bones. He was living under a staircase for 5 days where residents had given him a hotel towel to sleep on. When he heard the volunteer call to him he started wiggling excitedly and licking her hands. He was timid and resistant about being put on a leash, but then he was quiet and very good on the ride home in the truck, even when a 2nd dog was also picked up. Happy to announce that he had already filled back out 1 week later after eating well, and playing with all other foster dogs. Story
Bella’s journey is one of resilience and love. Abandoned in 2015 and battling heartworm, she made a remarkable recovery. Sadly, no one wanted a medium-sized dog, and she was days from being put down when we stepped in. Soon after, we rescued Nilo as a playful pup. Bella became his “doggy mom,” and their bond has been inseparable ever since. Whether lounging on the couch or playing in the yard, Nilo looks to Bella as his guide. Once energetic adventurers, they now cherish relaxed days as happy couch potatoes. Due to a family health crisis, we’ll be abroad for months and hope to find Bella and Nilo a loving home where they can stay together.

Story
Denver is a 3-year-old bundle of joy with energy for days and love to spare! This handsome boy thrives on attention and is happiest when he’s with his favorite humans. Denver’s playful spirit makes every day an adventure, whether it’s a game of fetch, a brisk walk, or simply zooming around in a big backyard. Speaking of space—Denver would do best in a home with lots of room to run and explore. He’s not a city pup; he’s a country dog at heart, dreaming of wide-open spaces where he can stretch his legs and burn off all that puppy-like energy. Denver is more than just a high-energy pup; he’s a loyal companion who adores snuggles, belly rubs, and being by your side. He’ll need a family who can keep up with his zest for life and give him the attention he craves. If you’re ready for a loving, energetic, and endlessly entertaining furry friend, Denver is waiting to meet you!

Story
This sweet boy is named Champ (nickname champy boy) He is currently 3 years old and weighs about 23lbs. He was born May 7, 2021 and I have gotten him from some old friends of mines. Very rarely he gets shy but, more you spend time with him the faster he’ll get used to you. He is very energetic and playful and his favorite type of toys are stuffed animals. He is a very loving dog and at times will get clingy. Champ is a huge fan of company and loves meeting new people and furry friends.

Story
Jack is a VERY good boy. He recently lost his favorite human to a battle with cancer, and he is feeling a little lost in the world. He is currently living with dad's family, but they are a house of three cats, grandpa is terribly allergic to dogs….and Jack really deserves a home of dog owners! While he could not be more loved, he needs a younger family. He is a happy dog who can usually be seen with his toy ball in his mouth. He needs a yard and someone to play with him and walk him. He is about 7 years old, and is vaccinated, kennel trained, house-trained and usually follows directions to sit and lay. He is typically a quiet dog and does not cause much fuss. He would make an excellent pet to any family, and that family could not ask for a more loyal friend. We will not take Jack to a shelter, but we will be happy to help him transition to a new loving home, and will pay for neutering.

Story
Dog belonged to my deceased mother. She rescued animals habitually and left me with 4 dogs and 18 cats that I can no longer care for. Dexter is about 12 years old and still very energetic. His vet prescibes him Prozac for his anxiety. He's half poodle and quite handsome and affectionate. Though he is elderly, he loves chasing his tennis ball around the dog park. I would love for him to be able to live out the rest of his life in the kind of loving home he deserves. Would probably fare better if he were the only pet, but he does get along well with our other elderly dog and most cats.

Story
Athena is an aproximate 2 years old. And was rescued from a shelter at just 6 weeks old. She is amazing with children as she was raised with a 6m baby and is still super nice and playful with our three year old. Unfortunatly my daughter has special needs that takes a lot of special care as well as an allergy she has developed from Athena’s fur. Athena does get super excited around new people as she’s not been around a lot of new people BUT she has always been super loving. A kennel is available with adoption if interested. We love her so much and sad she has to be rehomed, but I want her to have a loving home!

Story
Hi, my name is Danny. I am a young male puppy about 12 months old. I am a small to medium size dog perfect laptop size dog or just hanging out with. My current owner rescued me about a month ago, has given me a safe home where I have been able to regain some weight and be a normal dog again. Unfortunately my current rescue owner can not keep me as he already has five other dogs and three cats. I get along with everybody(including the cats) but it's all to busy and to much for their household so now I have to find a new/permanent home. I can promise you if you adopt me that I will always be there for you, cuddle with you, protect you, play with you and I like to play fetch with the ball. I do need a yard so I can run around and play in and I also like to play with everyone including adults, kids, dogs and cats. Thank you for taking the time to look, learn a little about me and help me find my forever home before my rescue owner is forced to drop me off at the SPCA.

These girls are as sweet as can be! They enjoy playing with each other and lounging most of the day. They are house and crate trained and good with kids. They know basic commands, and get excited to meet new people. They are almost 1 years old, and I would prefer them to stay together since they are siblings. They can be high energy at times, but they are overall good pups!
