Story

My family and I adopted Beau from Austin Animal Center 2 years ago. He is a 3 year old mixed breed, resembling a lab, who loves walks, hanging out in the sun, and cuddling on the couch. He had been getting along great with our other dog, a mini-Aussie, before we introduced 2 kittens into the home. Beau had gotten on well with our old cat who passed last year, but the energy of 2 kittens and a 7 year old human in our small house has proven to be too much for him. We want the best for our dog, Beau, and after much careful deliberation have decided to seek out the quiet home that he deserves where he is the main attraction. He is fully housebroken, crate trained, and he knows a few tricks: sit, down, sit up, stand up, spin, shake, and touch (place). He does great with people when he is out and about, and he loves going to the pet store to try out beds and sniff the shelves. He's a good boy who needs a calmer environment to shine.

Buddy is a lovable, energetic 3-year-old pup I adopted about 5 months ago from a shelter. He’s super friendly, great with other dogs, and absolutely adores kids and families. At 58 pounds, he’s house-trained and working on crate training (though he’s still a little anxious about it). Buddy is in excellent health, up to date on vaccines, and neutered. He loves running, playing, and cuddling on the couch or bed. He’s got a huge heart and so much love to give! I’m rehoming Buddy because I don’t have the time to care for him properly anymore. My circumstances have changed as I recently lost my job and am moving. He deserves a home where he can be active, loved, and part of the family. Highly trainable and food motivated, Mary loves challenges and cuddling under a cozy blanket. In robust health, she's enjoyed cross-country road trips, daily walks, and off-leash adventures at dawn in Zilker Park. She's cautious indoors with new people, needing time, space, and no touching, but soon becomes affectionate. Ever vigilant, she alerts you to activity. She doesn't do well in enclosed spaces with other dogs but flourishes in open areas. At home, she snuggles (often butt to butt!) and plays joyfully. We hope to find her a loving forever home soon. We adopted Frankie in 2016 and since then he has traveled all over the US with us. He loves to go on hikes and go to dog parks. Even though he is almost 9 years old he is in great health and still has lots of energy! Frankie is house trained and crate trained and likes to sleep in his crate at night. He is good around other dogs and kids but he will sometimes jump and get excited around new people. Our hope is to find someone who can give Frankie love and attention in his later years.

We need to re-home our new dog, Snowball. He was adopted from the Willco Pet Shelter. He is a smart and rambunctious three year old. I will give you his toys and food bowl, harness and a leash if you need it. He is spayed and up-to-date on his shots. I can share his medical history so that you may continue to take good care of him. He gets along with other dogs, would be an awesome companion to a person without young kids, great to take to the dog park. We also have a cat that he has not hurt, but shows great interest in. Snowballs history from the shelter is that he was found along the highway in the outskirts of Georgetown. I can tell he had been abused and escaped due to his food aggression at times and his fear of us at times. The reason I am hoping to re-home him rather than return him to the shelter is because of the fact that he has bitten our little girl and they must report the bite. This is Hachiko. Hachi for short. He was born on December 28, 2023. He was found walking on Highway I-35 in the north Austin/Cedar Park, Texas area. He had been by himself for a bit. He’s a healthy boy now. He is young, fun, energetic, playful, goofy, so loving, loves to cuddle and stare into your eyes, and has a little separation anxiety. He just started taking obedience training classes, but will need some more basic obedience training. He’s a quick learner. He does very well with other dogs and just always wants to play with them. Hachi will definitely thrive in a home where their human either works from home or has another dog that can be with him while their human is at work. Their human needs to be a big time dog lover- like their dog is their kid type of love. He is the sweetest baby ever.

Brisket was adopted from a shelter at 6 months old. She is currently 7 years old and the sweetest girl I've ever met. She rarely barks and spends most of her time laying down and wanting to cuddle. That said, she loves playing with other dogs and running. She does have some anxiety in the car, but nothing too serious. She is so gentle with my 18 month old niece, and I know she'd be a great addition to any home. Unfortunately, I am dealing with major health issues and am unable to take care of her. She is so sweet and loving, and I want her to go to a good home that will love her as much as I do.

We found Khoda homeless at a gas station. The attendants at the gas station said that he came by every day and they fed him. He was filthy with no collar. I had to help this little guy, so I brought him home. The car ride was around 3 hours and he just lied next to me and slept. We I brought him to the vet to get checked out, He was found to be in good health, unchipped, negative for heartworms, positive for hookworms
