Originally rescued, Bernie is full of personality and loves to play, but he would thrive with more training, regular walks, and an active family. My dad found this dog and nursed her back to health over a year ago. They were best buddies and now he is sick and unable to care for her anymore. She needs a new home asap. She is very sweet. She does need thyroid medicine around $20 a month. She has a patch of hair missing on her back because of the thyroid issue.

Story
A friend contacted us about 2 dogs that were abandoned and had signs of being mistreated. We took them in to help get them healthy and eventually work on finding a home. Jey is the sweet, shy boy. He may be a little stand-offish when he first meets you, but once he warms up to you he will be begging for your attention. If you want a buddy to snuggle with, Jey is the pup for you! He thinks he is a little lap dog sometimes. He is comfortable with other dogs, cats, and children which he has been living with since we took him in (almost a year ago). We are unable to keep Jey permanently because of pets we already have and our current schedules. Jey needs someone to get out and play ball with and give him lots of love and attention. If you have questions or are interested in Jey, please let me know. I do ask that we schedule a meet and greet in a public space to make sure you are both a good fit for each other before finalizing adoption. Rehoming fee is also negotiable.
