Story
Jack is a rescue from Houston, we adopted him in 2020. He is a well-trained, obedient dog. He responds well to commands, is affectionate and playful. He can get nervous at times and unfortunately, he has bitten twice, and with children in the house, we can no longer keep him. A home without small children and other dogs would be the best fit for Jack. He is smart, loves to go for walks and loves to cuddle.

Story
Chloe's much loved owner recently passed away so we are searching for a good loving home for her. She is an absolutely sweet and loving pup who just needs a chance at a new forever home. She's joyful, smart, and loves to snuggle—she'll undoubtedly bring warmth and companionship to her new family. She lived a sheltered life away from other animals and not much effort was put into training her This is a great opportunity for bonding and teaching her new behaviors and skills. Her cute floppy ears are sure to win you over. Her quiet demeanor (She doesn't bark!) is a bonus for someone looking for a calm and peaceful companion. Since her behavior around other pets is unknown, introducing her to them gradually and under supervision will help ensure a smooth transition. She loves kids. With her loving nature and eagerness to please, Chloe is sure to bring so much joy to the right family. She is in Lebanon, Oregon, but we will bring her to your home to meet you.

Story
Hi I'm Timber, I think the nice people at the shelter named me that because I was found near Evergreen and Walnut in Tillamook. I'm about 1 years old and from what I've seen here at Tillamook K9 Rescue I'm on the small/medium size at 44 lbs. Don't let my small nature fool you, I've got a big personality! I'm quite the people lover. I love to get the loves and give the loves. Giving kisses is my favorite, and I love sitting with people and getting pets. I've been anxious at the shelter that someone might forget about me. The shelter staff jokes if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it I'll make sure you do. I guess I'm what they call a "demand barker." I'm not sure what that is but a lot of things make me anxious so I make sure people are aware by barking. I also haven't learned to speak human yet so I keep barking to let them know when I want something. If I want out of my kennel, Bark. If I don't want to be left alone in the yard, Bark. If I want the treat they hold out for me, Bark. If I want their attention and they aren't moving fast enough for me, Bark. If they are taking out another dog that is not me, Bark! Bark! Bark!!! The people here think I may have been with someone who was around all the time and that might be the reason for my anxiety. I can neither confirm nor deny these suspicions, like I said I don't speak human. I will tell you my barking means I'm not meant for apartment or condo living where walls are shared with neighbors. On the positive side, I am quite smart and trainable and given time, patience, and a little less stressful environment, with the help of delicious treats, I should be able to be trained out of this bad habit, or at least not be quite as vocal. I would benefit from an active family who will take me walking and hiking and beaching and living a good life. Do be aware my nose tends to get me in trouble. I love to smell all the things and so if you decide we are to be friends I would suggest keeping me on leash so my nose doesn't lead me astray. I'm a young guy with an excitement for life and I want to know all the things. That enthusiasm can sometimes translate into pulling on walks to get to the next thing! I am working on my leash manners and you’ll be able to pick up and continue once I am a member of your family. I do know some commands like sit and down. I've been pretty particular about the company I keep. So far I've just enjoyed the human persuasion here at Tillamook K9 Rescue. If you have a doggy family member I would need to meet them to ensure we get along. I also can get over -stimulated easily so I would do best in a home with older children that can read my signs and know when to disengage and let me calm down. I'm really into squeaky toys so the people here think I would probably really enjoy cats, and by that they mean chasing them and chewing on them to make them squeak. If you are interested in meeting me please fill out the adoption application so the nice people here can set up a meet and greet for us. https://form.jotform.com/223087866890167
