Story
I met Cowboy when he was almost 8 years old. He had already lived a good chunk of life before coming to me, and while I don’t know everything about his past, I do know he’s been through some tough experiences. At one point, he was attacked by another dog, which left him reactive and slow to trust. He’s also cautious around new people, but once he lets someone in, he’s fiercely loyal. From the beginning, Cowboy made it clear he’s an independent guy. He’s not the type of dog who constantly demands attention, and he prefers to build trust on his own terms. He’s not big on petting at first, but once he bonds with you, he’ll be your shadow. He’s also an excellent communicator—he doesn’t bark just to bark, but if he needs something, he’ll let you know in his own way. Cowboy is incredibly smart and picks up on things quickly, especially when food is involved. He loves his dinner in his Kong and will happily entertain himself.

Story
Parker loves to snuggle, is great off-leash hikes, loves being trained for tricks, and has a curious personality BUT, he can be mean to other dogs, only 1% of the time and actually loves playing with dogs and gets along with them so much as the dog isn't new and making him uncomfortable in his home or he feels something of his will be taken by another dog. So having a dog we have had for 8 years who owns the house having Parker come in like he owns the house has not worked out well. Bonus, I am allergic to him and can't snuggle with him which he highly desires :) He has been amazing around my 5 year old daughter and LOVES people! He has been very good with training and if we had more time he would be impressive! While outside the house he is great with other dogs, a home where he is an only dog and can be snuggled is what is needed to give him his best life.
