Story
Cooper is a very excitable year and a half year old mix. He was adopted from SICSA. He LOVES to chew, if it’s a fabric toy then it’s toast. He is a very active dog, a home with a yard would be optimal for him as he loves to run around. He can plat fetch mostly but doesn’t understand the part when he brings it back to you just yet. He knows how to sit and stay but thats as far as we’ve gotten training wise. He is entirely crate trained and will “go to bed” at command. He lives with myself, my husband, our two daughters and a cat. The cat was slowly introduced and they have never had any issues. He has zero food aggression and isn’t food motivated at all, those he does love peanut butter and will jump to catch blueberries all day long. I think he could be a great pet for a different family, unfortunately his energy levels with my current health issues are more than we can manage. I genuinely want him to go to a good home who can give him all the love and energy he requires.

Story
Our story is a sad one. Our son died in May of this year. His dog, Sandy, has been with us ever since. She is a beautiful. She was adopted by our son from SICSA as a puppy. We believe is part wheaten terrier and part australian shepherd. In fact one of her eyes is 1/2 blue. She is sweet but very protective of food and her people and home. She knows sit, stay, come, kennel (which means she needs to get into her cage). Her cage is her "safe" place. She likes it and will often lay in her kennel off and on throughout the day. We only close & latch the door at night. She is house trained too. She is frightened by thunder and loud noises and will chase delivery trucks and she hates the mail delivery person. LOL. My husband & I are in our 60s and are not able to provide Sandy with regular walks or exercise. Sandy weighs 40 pds. We need someone who will understand her needs and take good care of her.

Story
A friend of mine found Whiskey on his grandfather's property. He was emaciated but very sweet and friendly. I took him home and have managed to put some weight on him. But he really does not like my dog. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and have to keep him in a crate to separate the dogs. He loves people and might be OK with cats or even a female dog, but not my male dog. He has now been neutered and had his rabies shot. He tested negative for heartworm and is flea/tick free. I would just like to find a good home for this sweet boy.

Story
Meet Jack!! Jack was found wandering the streets in Richmond, he was skin and bones and had fleas and sores on his feet from the hot pavement. He has been vet checked and is healthy! The vet estimated 8-12 years old, but he’s still full of energy. His fur is growing back in and he’s up to date on shots, just needs fixed! He loves cuddles and will tell you how he feels when he’s excited! He looks like a corgi mix, around 25 lbs now that he’s at a healthy weight! No cats! He has been more tolerant but still hates them, and they stress him out, as well as him stressing them out. No smaller children, he gets antsy when they run around! Great around other dogs and loves adults and older kids.

Story
Honor is 12 months old. She was adopted from Clermont County Animal Shelter in Ohio. She was spayed a week or so prior to us adopting her. The shelter papers state she is a lab mix but her previous owner wrote husky mix. She looks more like a Doberman. She is very sweet and loves kids and other dogs. She hasnt been around cats. So unsure. She is still a puppy and hyper though she has calmed down a lot since we adopted her in April. She is up to date on vetting and is a good girl. She is mostly crate and potty trained but will have accidents if she doesnt get walked. She likes to chew shoes or toys but is not overly destructive. Just puppy chewing. She loves the dog park or going for walks. she doesnt mind the car and has gotten used to it because we take her bye bye a lot. I dont really want to get rid of her, but I injured my back about a week ago and physically cant handle her anymore because she pulls on a leash still. In my community, she has to be on a leash.
